If this happened in NJ the clerk would be dead.

If this happened in Texas, well, the story would probably be the same, customer shoots thug.

More likely the report would be state was spared the cost of a trial.

What a great story. I feel sorry for the shooter, that he had to do this, and that he feels traumatized by it, and that he’s worried about retaliation. But I applaud what he did. A brave guy doing the right thing.

Eyewitness News checked to see if the shooter in the case had any criminal background. He did plead no contest to a minor charge of marijuana possession a few years ago, but said he made a mistake and paid for it.--gee whiz--wonder why the media would be right on the ball with this? (sarc)

Probably not “traumatized” one bit. Hopefully he is proud of saving an innocent man’s life, and saving the state tons of money on a pointless trial.

Maybe they should award the shooter half the cost of a trial as a reward?
Might also cut down on store robberies.

Isn’t it a great stroke of good luck that this guy is a smoker! Otherwise, he would not have been there to save this woman’s life!

Read the last 2 paragraphs....what a joke this station is!
Christopher said he does have a permit to carry a gun. Investigators said that no charges have been filed against him.
Eyewitness News checked to see if the shooter in the case had any criminal background. He did plead no contest to a minor charge of marijuana possession a few years ago, but said he made a mistake and paid for it.

This is not acceptable. Just who gave this customer authority to act as judge, jury and executioner? T^he dead man never had a chance, he was just gunned down. Because of these actions, many, especially the Brady bunch, will not feel safe going to stores. /s
