SHOCK POLL: Kennedy Trailing Cuomo Huge Public Policy Polling Shows Princess Of Camelot Losing Grip On New Yorkers, Falls Behind 20 Points Among Dems NEW YORK (CBS) ―
Caroline Kennedy appears to be losing momentum in her bid for Hillary Clinton's U.S. Senate seat.
A new survey conducted by Public Policy Polling shows 58 percent of voters would prefer to see Gov. David Paterson appoint state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo to the seat.
That's compared to Kennedy's 27 percent.
Among Democratic voters, Cuomo leads by about 20 points. That's about the same lead Kennedy enjoyed just a month earlier.
This revelation seems to fly in the face of various reports that have surfaced since the calendar turned to 2009. Sources close to Gov. Paterson have said repeatedly that Kennedy is close to being named as Clinton's successor.
Paterson has said the search is ongoing, but on New Year's Day he cautioned everyone vying for the position by saying whoever is chosen to replace Clinton will have to earn re-election in 2010 on his or her own merits.
The coverage of Kennedy's upstate "listening tour" back in December showed her going to cities like Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo, but not answering many questions, a decision that touched a nerve with the media and set off a firestorm of criticism.

You know , once Cuomo, you know pulls this out, he will be in Washington forever like that POS Rockefeller.
Best thing going with Kennedy is the high probability that she will miss critical votes.
All is not lost for Princess Caroline. 0 can name her Ambassadress of Ken-ya know.
The only reason to talk up this woman getting the Senate seat is to convince her to finally make some donations to the Democrat party.
Otherwise she's a political non-entity, and barely articulate.
You know....Carolyn is in really deep trouble considering Bill Clinton referred to the Cuomos as mafia (on tape).
But New Yorkers still prefer those lovable Cuomos.
The question is this: is she worth more to them in the seat or out of it?
You know, Princess would be the perfect choice for the US Senate to join Stuart Smalley and the rest of the celebrity dim bulbs. Maybe Florida can elect Rosie O’Donnell to add her brilliance to the pantheon of democratic Mensa members in the Senate.
How about Rep. Carolyn McCarthy?
Her manner of speaking is similar to Caroline’s.
She actually has work experience and political experience.
She got into politics after her husband and son were shot while commuting home.
Idiots either one
She sounded like an idiot in that interview. She tanked herself.
The only thing Andrew’s got going is that he works for a living and he sounds exactly like his dad. He may be a lib, but he knows how to talk in an interview.
My bias though is that Princess Caroline will get the nod and it will be one more notch for the Dems on the bed post of absurdity.

From a conservative point of view, I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. What I mean is that Gov. Patterson is going to pick a liberal democrat no matter what. Since that is the case, the best thing for us is that he picks one who is (or at least sounds like) a total knucklehead, lacking any qualifications, save being a member of the “lucky sperm club.” Caroline fits these criteria to a T.
This "earn re-election in 2010 on his or her own merits" means absolutely nothing. It's supposed to somehow absolve Patterson from being blamed for the actions of whomever he picks but of course does anything but.
In the end the absurdity of an accidental Governor appointing an accidental Senator is for all to see that wish to.
The Democrats currently have a majority in the House and Senate....a majority of totally corrupt hard@sses...this is permitting them to “nominate” some really stupid dummies as replacement racketeers.
Leave them alone...I say: bring on ‘Yah know’ Kennedy, ‘Rol’em’ Burris, even ‘A less’Franken and let them all self-destruct on C-Span.
Personally, I would rather see the inept Kennedy in office than the guy who gave us the Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae disaster. With a Senate seat, think how much more havoc he can create. Hell, he may run for Prez someday if he gets a “resume”.
