President-elect Barack Obama has selected Leon E. Panetta, the former congressman and White House chief of staff, to take over the Central Intelligence Agency, an organization that Mr. Obama criticized during the campaign for using interrogation methods he decried as torture, Democratic officials said Monday.
Mr. Panetta has a reputation in Washington as a competent manager with strong background in budget issues, but has little hands-on intelligence experience. If confirmed by the Senate, he will take control of the agency most directly responsible for hunting senior Al Qaeda leaders around the globe, but one that has been buffeted since the Sept. 11 attacks by leadership changes and morale problems.

LITTLE???
Yeah, I suppose he has little experience, in the way that the number zero is little.
It is my opinion as well that America is bigger than the Marxists have any clue about. I think one of their biggest mistakes is in underestimating the resistance they will incur from Constitutionalists who believe our inalienable rights come from God—not some two bit idiologue pols.
The form of this resistance remains to be seen. I know the surge in individual gun owner permits has already made a big impression on The Messiah as he has mentioned it publicly. He cannot help but be nervous. One hopes it will not come to armed insurrection, but all options must be on the table and executable.
My own preference is for the creation of a new opposition party to demrat leftists. I would call it the Constitutionalist Party. GOP is a damaged label and the RINOs are unlikely to give it up anyway. This party must be led by a bonafide conservative/constitutionalist. Frankly Palin is my choice. She has already been in the national arena, she is a very successful governor and she will not shy away from taking the lefties head on. Moreover, she is a clear and concise communicater. Her conservative record is clear and unequivocal therefore she doesn’t have to worry about she said to this or that group.
I would go for Sarah Palin simply because she has such a devastating effect on Liberals! If I new absolutely nothing else about her the way she makes the head of a Liberal explode tells me she's a good choice. Add to that her additional qualities and it would be all but impossible, IMHO, to do any better.
She's going to take a whole lot of guff between now and the next election. We've got to make sure she get defended and supported at every stage of the game.
It’s been a struggle getting people over the knee jerk, third rail response—”it can’t be done”—to the formation of a new second oppositon party. However, of those people who do respond lately the trend is toward the need to form a new party.
I think it needs to be called something different than “conservative” or any of of the “conservative sect” parties that are out there today. IMO the conservative label has been successfully demonized by the left. To a majority of the US population being conservative means—among other things—gun toting right wingers who bomb abortion clinics or fire bomb black churches.
My choice for the new party name would be Constitutional Party. For one thing it more accurately describes what I’m about. For another it makes it difficult for the left to attack a Constitutionalist without also attacking the Constitution itself. However, if someone comes up with a better choice I will gladly sign on.
Wonder if putting someone easily controlled by the White House in charge of the CIA could be evidence that Big O is planning on turning the spy agency into his own secret police?
