The USA is being infiltrated by illegals, sold to foreign powers and abandoned by its government. But are Americans enabling the dissolution of our economy and country as well by continuing to buy foreign goods?

Yes, you're right ... and as I said in #18, I don't look to Chuck Norris for sharp thinking. (He's a cutie, though.) A lot of people took Huckabee at face value, largely based on his pro-life-and-morals rhetoric, without much consideration of his other positions or his record.

I suspect that McCain emerged the leader because of support from people who had no intention of voting for him, or any Republican, during the general election. He openly advocated that in the 2000 primaries but was more subtle during this election. We have to clean up the election process if we expect to select those who are to represent us.
That’s one perspective. I don’t see any reason to believe that he is not sincere in his positions, just as leftist celebrities are sincere (by their lights) in their views.
With plans to sell our highways/tollroads to foreign nations (as well as our ports which has been the case since Clinton), even just doing business IN America will be funding foreign corporations. Our elected government sold us out.
I believe the number of celebs that are informed and sincere can probably be counted on one hand.

I meant it in the most basic way — what kind of bone-headed move is it to put out an editorial damning imports as un-American when you’re collecting hefty paychecks from a company that imports?

This is where I would normally advocate “Chuck Norris for President”. However, maybe I should get ahead of the curve and nominate him for the title “warlord” of the largest region of the former USA?
The kind of bone-headed move you’d expect from someone who’s been battered about the head most of his life.
Even aside from that, the number of people who think through the consistency of their opinions with their actions in a rigorous way is, imo, very limited.
at least the lefty actors know which side their bread is buttered — with an increasing percentage of profits of movies coming from overseas, they play up the “citizen of the world” act.
Given the opportunity, I believe most Americans would prefer to buy American Made products. Unfortunately, the majority of American Made products are beyond the means of most people.
Why would anyone buy “American-made goods”, whatever that means in a complex world economy, if goods made by evil foreigners are better and/or cheaper?
Even Chuck Norris can’t repeal the laws of the market.
A large percentage of American Made products are superior in quality to foreign made products. They are just more expensive.
Maybe, but have they thought it through? Why would I want, for example, to buy a car made by crypto-Marxist gangsters in Detroit as opposed to folks in Japan or Korea? Or a product manufactured by illegal immigrants or Moslem "refugees" in the U.S., as opposed to one made by legal citizens of another country who aren't interested in killing me?
My "gesture" with my shopping habits is to shop in the county, so that more of the tax dollars go to our county instead of the next one over. Union County's government may be clueless and corrupt, but they're geniuses and saints compared to Mecklenburg!
News Flash: Japan’s auto plants are also unionized. Granted, their unions are different than U.S. unions, but they do provide many of the same functions.
Most of the manufacturing in the developed world is unionized. That’s why Japan and Korea like the struggling U.S. states so much — not only are there no unions, but the states provide generous tax incentives for building a plant.
In the meantime, all of the profits from non-union plants in the U.S. are shipped back to Japan to support their own union bennies.
You already pay enough for products made by Americans. A pair of Carhartt jeans made in the US go for $50.

Then there are a number of things you will not be buying ... a SLR camera (film or digital) is one of many products that simply do not have an American producer. I will continue to buy what best meets my needs, and look for the best value ... not necessarily the lowest price. If that is American made, fine, if not maybe it will show a market niche for an American producer. I am not interested in checking the pedigree of every product I buy nor the political leanings of it’s producer.
