Mexican drug cartels negotiating a peace agreement

CIUDAD JUÁREZ, Mexico – Mexico's warring cartels are negotiating a truce that, if it holds, could end one of the bloodiest eras since the 1910-20 Mexican Revolution, according to a U.S. official and experts familiar with the talks.

A peace agreement would be the second in two years and, like the last one, its chances of surviving are slim, the U.S. official said.

"In the end, greed prevails over reason," the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Last year was one of the bloodiest ever, with more than 5,700 people killed nationwide, including 1,600 in Ciudad Juárez.

"These guys are businessmen," Campbell said. "Violence hurts the bottom line, their profits."

However, many experts and analysts on both sides of the border expect rising violence.

That's all real nice but what does it do for the innocents who make the mistake of getting in their way?

Why don’t we just sub out border control to the IDF?

“the U.S. official said. “In the end, greed prevails over reason,””

That seems to be the standard for anything to do with Mexico.

Not sure they would want any part of this deal. The Cartel terrorists are better trained and equipped.

President Wilson intervened in Mexico in a llot of incredibly incompetent ways. Ans almost always against the cause of standard freedom down there.

Now, nearly 100 years later, we refuse to intervene in the Mexican “failed state”, DESPITE the horrendous negative effects they are having upon us here.

Its time IMO to begin to quit letting the mistakes of President Wilson drive our course of action today. The locations of Cartel headquarters and activites are well-known. I think its time to unnleash the Hellfire armed predators.

“Lease” em to Mexico and paint a mexican flag on em with a wink if that works. The PBY Catalina patrol plane that located the Bismark after it destroyed the HMS Hood. It was “British” (wink wink,,nudge nudge) and was flown by a USN crew.

Oh I think if we turned them loose they could handle it.

It would be a message they might get a lot better than the ones they get from Mexican authorities.

If the cartels do reach and agreement, the first thing they will want to do is exterminate the Zetas, and maybe any MS-13. At least for a few years, that could make things even bloodier.

Pretty good insight there you have! Dealing with drug cartels is like dealing with Hamas (as they say in the south "some people just need killin"). Never met one I liked, and Israeli intel and defense being strong, I support this a 125%. Why not? Jorge Booosh and his "dear friend" Juan Sutton are busy locking those up who actually give a damn(Ramos and Compean)!
