What a great strategy that would be. Dismantle Hamas, then go to work on Hezzbolla in Lebonon. Put the Iranians in the position to have to make a move. Then take out their nuke sites. One can hope.
My spin on the news is that they are taking their odds with George W in Office, as it won’t be so sure that the USA won’t meddle when Obama takes office.

I wonder... There is no doubt Hamas in Gaza had this coming. There is no doubt that their escalating rocket attacks over a period of months invited this action. Frankly, I don’t doubt that Hezbollah (Iran’s Lebanese Army) will “get in on the act.”
BUT, the call up of “tens of thousands” of IDF reservists got me to thinking... With the approaching inauguration of “The One,” and the (somewhat surprisingly) strong support of GWB, could this action be a “cover” or “pretext” for a military operation aimed at Iran’s nukes?
I can’t imagine “The One” would ever authorize such an action by the American military, and I don’t believe GWB is in a political position to launch such an attack either. But Israel — can they really afford to wait? GWB might give them cover that “The One” certainly will not.
Godspeed Israel soldiers.
