Comedienne Kathy Griffin may be doomed to life on CNN's S-list after answering a heckler with a shrieking, vulgar tirade during the network's live New Year's Eve broadcast.

I always thought Don Rickles was the master at deprecating humor, and to my knowledge, he did not ever use vulgarities. Richard Pryor would of been a lot funnier, if he had not stooped to such vulgarities.

Comedian? I though she was a vulgar street-person CNN recruited in an attempt to make Anderson Cooper look professional, by comparison.

In other words Cathy is just another conformist sheeple, who thinks insulting others is funny. No wondered they heckled her. Maybe they should of hurled someo f that back at her, and see how funny it is.. if only the heckler had had a microphone!

I have to agree with you. In the Sunday magazine that comes with the paper the first section is always questions about “stars.” I don’t know who any of them are and I suppose that’s just as well.

It infuriates me that people are so taken with this depraved bunch known as “stars”. Very, VERY sad that young people actually look up to Hollywood...consider them mentors. Something about millstones and lakes comes to mind.

Our intelligence level as a society on the whole has sunk to new levels. This explains how Obama won the election - a population dumbed down by leftist public education and fed non-stop stupifying trash by the television.

For the record, we are even further down the slippery slope here in Canada, sadly.

Exactly. Rickles was the master of the comedic insult. He used his brain and didn’t have to resort to profanity. I cut Richard Pryor a little bit of slack, as his use of profanity wasn’t the only thing he was drawing on as comedy. Yes, it was meant to have some shock value (and in it’s time it certainly did) but often it was more about portraying a certain “character” in the bit. He could be quite funny without being profane when he wanted to.

I still want with all my heart to believe she was directing that at Anderson.

Memo to Kathy: if you’re a woman, and your male cohost is prettier than you, that’s not good.

I love Seinfeld. If surfing, I will always watch it except when the story line includes Griffith. From the moment I ever laid eyes on her, she was able to exact a gut wrenching nausea from me.

“We are a classless society. “

Yes, and Hollywood is doing its best to prove that every day.

No class at all.

The “dump” button involving a 7-second or so delay would not have made sense on New Years Eve.

Makes more sense than hiring Griffin. And they could've axed the delay right before the ball drop. They could've gone to commercial, dropped the delay, then come back after telling Griffin to lose the filth for a couple of minutes.

She should be taken to the beach along with Bill Maher and the two of them should have their heads held under water for while.

CNN is so outdated. Expect massive layoffs as advertising revenues must be shrinking daily. And not only do they lie a lot, they never bring in any new blood. Like, man, who wants to look at wolf blitzer every day for two decades?! Apparently not too many people! Same old ugly characters, day in and day out for decades! NO wonder the are losing viewers in droves!

Kathy Griffin has filed a $100,000 lawsuit against some nasty little ‘cybersquatters’.

Said squatters nabbed the ownership rights to KathyGriffin.com and the fiery funnylady doesn’t like that they’re making money off of her name without her permission.

The lawsuit filed said, “The harm to [Griffin] is direct and palpable,” and that the site was purposely designed to make viewers “confused into believing that [Griffin] authorizes, sponsors or somehow is affiliated with the…website.”

It also went on to say that the squatters have been trading on the reality star’s “good reputation and recognizable name for a commercial purpose…and reaping the uncompensated benefit from the unauthorized use of [Griffin’s] name and identity.”

The suit also says that the owners of the faux Kathy site had offered to sell the domain name to her back in July for $3,500.

Interesting!

Why didn’t she buy it????
