The killer was crazy or on drugs or both. Religious obsessions are common among people like that, and for some reason, a hatred of Christianity - probably because it’s the dominant religion in the US - is also very common among them.

This was a terrible thing, but the guy was a nut, and I don’t think anybody should read anything else into this.

Agreed. There is anti Catholic and anti Christan bigotry and it did have an effect on this deranged soul. But he was insane. He let his anger deliver him into murder. He choose to take it out on an innocent and righteous man who would not deny his faith.

Any anyone here who would blame a fellow Freeper(without any evidence) here for inciting hiis violence is ridiculous and unseemly.
