Limits? Sure, I think the government should be stripped of all public right of way, whether by fee simple title or easement ~ revert that property to the adjacent landowners.

Private enterprise will then rise up, purchase what is needed for roads, and operate them in the interest of Capitalist enterprise.

Modern technology will allow satellite based "track and trace" for each and every vehicle so that fees can be assessed against actual vehicle use rather than relying on the magic of MPG.

People who don't like the current road can get together with like-minded folks to purchase land and get their own roads.

Time to cut out the cross-subsidization to bad drivers the current system entails.

Varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Tenth Amendment. You should read it someday.

You should read the 5th and 14th Amendments someday.

dirt cheap Souvrn' lifestyle films with lots of girls being abused.

You're quite the movie buff, fascinating view of a liberal with a conservative want.

You're coming into a point in the middle and not at the beginning. Odds are you are not quite sure what this part is about but it looked like you wished to be included.

I'm a big-tent sort of debater.

I have no problem, however, with government prohibiting many actions. Rape, murder, theft, abortion - many things "offend" me. Get real - are you trying to tell me you have a "right" to drive drunk?

"Driving drunk" is a thoughtcrime. You haven't actually done anything to anyone other than violate a government-dictated "convention".

Now, if you run over somebody because you're drunk - well, now, you've done something...

No problem. Just don't blubber about it when you're busted.

Don't bust me, gloat about busting people, or advocate laws enabling the busting - no problem.

No, Fiefdoms didn't die with the Magna Carta. For example the Isle of Man ~ it's still there just as strong as ever.

What died was the unfettered power of an absolute monarch ~ ergo, feifdoms were enhanced in their possession of ancient liberties.

The democratic victory that led to was the entitlement of ALL persons with those same ancient liberties.

If you wanted to know what knightly privileges were about read the Bill of Rights ~ nobles had those rights. Commoners didn't. Freedom was dispensed from the top.

And the sewer pipes underlying the asphalt? And the water pipes? Electrical lines? Can the adjacent landowner stand in the street with a shotgun and stop cars passing by?

They OWN MADD.

I know about them. My sister earned her undergrad degree at Rutgers. They might as well call it RWJF University.

Now, if you run over somebody because you're drunk -

Define "drunk".

The definition seems to move around and now seems to mean whatever some armed government revenue-enhancement officer wants it to mean.

As I understand it, she got a DUI about 10 years ago.

Could be but I can't find mention of that.

I've heard McDonald's "White" versus "14th Amendment" citizenship crap.

Sorry, I'll be LMAO.

I'll be LMAO when your homestead gets confiscated for a traffic-calming measure or you get busted for eating a candy bar (coming).

I was watching people spewing that “operating” versus “driving” bilge go to jail thirty years ago.

They use a thing called Barrett Law in Indiana to build the sewers and public school buildings. You can also have privately owned power, water and gas lines, and telephone lines, cable, etc.

In fact, you can do pretty much all of that anywhere.

There's no particular reason public right of way needs to be owned by the government. Enabling legislation that provides for public charitible trusts is sufficient to get around all those hurdles.

In my experience, 500 replies make a thread a classic. You might have one here.

With fee title changing every few feet? What planet is that again?
