Well...this makes for an interesting outcome then, doesn’t it. Either the solar theory or the carbon theory (excuse me, gospel) should be shown to be a fraud. I can’t wait.

Reminds me of a graph of Japanese fertility rates I recently saw.

Steady decline from WWII to today, dipping below replacement level of 2.1 around 1990 and continuing downward to around 1.2 now.

The graph then showed a bottoming out in 2009 and a predicted rise back to replacement levels by about 2015. The interesting part is that the attached article presented absolutely no reason why the fertility rate should rebound so dramatically. In fact, the stated evidence would indicate it will drop even farther.

But the implications of this were apparently so dire to the authors they couldn’t even think about them. They just assumed a dramatic reversal would occur.
