This seems bad for the attorney business, which is a good thing.

"I want him to buy me out. It's in everybody's interest to settle quickly. That would be my only income. It's been incredibly stressful."

Gee, she seems to be taking a slightly self-centered view here.

"Now we fight about who gets stuck with the dead cow."

Obviously, Mr. Needle got stuck with THAT!

Not to worry. With gay marriage coming to all 50 states, there will be plenty of work for divorce lawyers!

Now the market for both houses has crashed, and the couple are left arguing about whether the homes are worth what they owe on them, and whether there are any assets left to divide, Ms. Needle said.

Ah yes, the ole emotions versus assets issue. Does she screw him now or wait till the housing market rebounds? The answer to that depends on whether she is viscious and wants to finish him off or walk away with something.

I just can’t generate a lot of sympathy for folks who overpaid for houses not worth close to what they paid for them and now have to fight over the entrails.

Yeah, I think we're seeing the problem with this marriage.

Not much of a divorce here since it seems there wasn’t much of a marriage to begin with.

"Now one is coming home with a new boyfriend or girlfriend, and it's creating a layer to relationships that we haven't seen before."

Apply THIS to gay relationships and the sentence is even funnier!

There’s an argument against marriage if I ever saw one.

Yeah, I think we have a pretty good view of part of the problem that put that marriage on the rocks.

Could be worse....
Look at Obama’s home State of Nigeria

....The biggest domestic drama of the year happened when a cleric, Abubakar Bello Masaba married to 86 wives, refused vehemently to divorce 82 of them so that he would be left with four in compliance with Islamic injunction, as ordered by the islamic and government authority in Niger State. The cleric, who had initially agreed to this order, later reneged on his word and embarked on a legal action against the authorities. He was subsequently excommunicated from the Islamic fold........

This story also appeared in the NY Times, with the spurned Ms. Marci Needle on the front page. Nice looking but also had that look of being able to make your life truly miserable.

I liked the stories of the couple who had moved out of their now-25%-off $2.3 million home which they could not sell; so they were both living in rented apartments and EACH paying lawyers $350 an hour.

I feel really sorry for these folks, can you tell?

Perhaps marriage counseling services will be helped by this.

Oh Dear, I guess its time for these couples who promised to be together for life, in good time AND in bad, to GROW UP and do so. Marriage is hard. The easy credit and lack of moral fiber in this country has made it way too easy to walk away when our “feelings” changed toward the one we promised to love, honor and cherish for life.

Time to wake up folks. There are lots of mornings I wake up and wonder what was I thinking LOL. 20 years, 3 kids later- love is still a choice you make, not a feeling you have. For better or worse, forsaking ALL others. Grow up, man up and mean what you say when you take your vows.

Will all fights stop? No. Will you “feel” in love every moment your married? HELL No! Can you remain married for life to one person? Without a doubt, but only if GOD is your glue.

Too many people get married at disneyworld and then complain when they have a mickey mouse marriage! Stop getting married on a whim in vegas, and start remembering that marriage is a sacred institution! Otherwise, just shack up and change partners when they go out of style. Jeez, this ain’t rocket science!
