Bristol Palin Welcomes a Son

Bristol Palin, the 18-year-old daughter of former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, gave birth on Sunday to a healthy 7 lb., 4 oz., baby boy in Palmer, Alaska.

"We think it's wonderful," said Colleen Jones, the sister of Bristol's grandmother Sally Heath, who confirmed the news. "The baby is fine and Bristol is doing well. Everyone is excited."

The baby's name is Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, according to Jones.

Baby Tripp takes his surname from his dad, Levi Johnston, an apprentice electrician and former Wasilla High School hockey player who has been dating Bristol for three years.

Bristol Palin is currently residing in Wasilla and completing her high-school diploma through correspondence courses.

Johnston is studying to become an electrician. He told the Associated Press in October that he and fiancée Bristol plan to wed in 2009 and raise the child together.

Out of wedlock? Mine is not to judge. Perhaps God has good things in store for him and his family.

>>>If they were dems we would already know how much a magazine had paid for them.

Apparently bidding for the baby photos began at $100,000 and they could get as much as $300,000.

Hmmmm they should have gotten married so the child would not have been born out of wedlock.

Not a good example...

By my understanding of The Bible and marriage, yeah.

Unless you mean Judge Much. Is he another judicial tyrant?

From my understanding of the bible, God took many who messed up and lifted them up to be teachers, leaders, and inspirations to all of us.

King David comes to mind!

Exactly, King David had many struggles and how the Lord loved him.

Paul was another, persecuting the Christians, and the Lord turned him into an incredible leader in the early church.

We are all sinners, God looks at our hearts and our desire to change.

By all means. “If I knew God I’d be Him.”
Yet what is life in God without His Law?

Bristol Palin, the 18-year-old daughter of former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin

Notice, they always have something negative to say about Sarah, they couldn't say,"Daughter of the current Governor of Alaska", nope, they have to let you know that she is a "failed" VP candidate.

There are solid legal reasons (for the guy) to wait until after the baby is born. No competent lawyer would advise otherwise in most states.

Really, why ?

If the man is suspicious of actual paternity or planning to deny paternity it is much more difficult if he marries the mother prior to the birth because traditional family law establishes paternity rights and duties via marriage, not by DNA.

This protected the peasantry from having their wives abused by overlords and being force to support the young children only to be robbed of their value when they became of working age and could contribute to the overall well being of the family by preventing the overlord from later claiming them as his own.
