Israelis applauding at the defense of their country. Does the news item want us to think that is bad?
What about the cheering and festivities in the streets when fanatical death cult members flew planes with passengers into occupied office buildings? What about the joy and partying when death cult members kill Israeli High School children on the way to school?
At the Keyboard: Freepers Cheering On the Attacks
Way to go Israel.
Show them what you got, Israel.
Be damned what the Palis, the UN or the world says.
You have every right to defend yourself.
Sitting on a hilltop on a Sunday afternoon watching Apaches shoot missiles into Gaza...
Now that’s a great weekend!
I would have taken a sammich and made a day out of it.
Go Israel! Good luck to the warriors and may the spectators enjoy the show.
I remember the day we started hitting the Taliban back in October 2001. It was a Sunday and all across America the crowds in the football stadiums cheered as the news was shown on the jumbo-screens. Just one of the many times I’ve been proud of my country. Michelle Obama can go F herself.
Well, I don’t know about the rest of the world, but I would be a tad annoyed.
:^)
Only 150 rockets? What a statement from CNN.
And the pic of the “big toothed” Georgia peanut farmer! What a Goober!
Welcome to FR.
There are tons of ‘news’ articles down playing the ‘odds’ of being injured or killed by Palestinian rockets. The gist of these are: “The Israelis should just take it all in stride.”
Amazing, truly amazing.
And notice there is no mention of the Egyptians firing on pali’s trying to sneak into their country.
Better analogy would be 150 rockets fired from Mexico into the US... trying to drive out the ‘evil Americans’ from what the Mexicans consider ‘mexican’ territory.
Come to think of it, that might actually happen. Mexican drug cartels using rockets as a diversion as to preoccupy our border agents... and smuggle drugs in at a different point.
:-(
Oh, never mind, I forgot we have a very leniant policy toward Mexico and it's crime and corruption toward us.
I used Canada in my analogy because Canadians represent no threat to the US.
Mexico does represent a threat to US security.
Israel is not a threat to the Palestinians. If the Palestinians disarm, there will be peace. If the Israelis disarm, there will be a blood bath.
The Palis on the West Bank should get a telegram saying if so much as a firecracker is thrown at the IDF, they are headed for Egypt too.
The Gaza strip has been nothing but an open sore in Israels side since the 1950's. Time to cauterize the wound.
I wouls hope that we would rummage around in our military for another J.J.Pershing.
He may have not caught Villa, but things settled down south of the border pretty quickly after he got busy.
Yeah, Sderot is just a border town notable for nothing else; sort of like Champlain, NY.

They try to make Israel look like they are the aggressors.
how many of us would be cheering if we were finally fighting back after being bombed day and night?

Why have they not reported this?

Following are excerpts from an interview with Hamas Leader Khaled Mash’al, which aired on Al-Quds TV on December 14, 2008 (two weeks before the Israeli attack in Gaza):
Khaled Mash’al: The tahdiah [”calm”] was limited to six months, ending on December 19. It should be noted that the enemy did not comply with the terms of the tahdiah, and that the siege still pressures our people. Therefore, we in Hamas, and I think most of the [other] forces, [say] loud and clear that after December 19, 2008, the tahdiah will end, and will not be renewed.
Interviewer: This may be a scoop. You are declaring that there will be no tahdiah after it ends on December 19...
Khaled Mash’al: The tahdiah will not be renewed, but we, as a resistance force on the ground, will act in accordance to the circumstances in the field, and in keeping with our resistance to the occupation and defense of our people.

They were planning on starting more strikes again two weeks before Israel attacked in DEFENSE of it’s people.
