Looking back over my columns of the past 12 months, one of their major themes was neatly encapsulated by two recent items from The Daily Telegraph.
The first, on May 21, headed "Climate change threat to Alpine ski resorts" , reported that the entire Alpine "winter sports industry" could soon "grind to a halt for lack of snow". The second, on December 19, headed "The Alps have best snow conditions in a generation" , reported that this winter's Alpine snowfalls "look set to beat all records by New Year's Day".
Easily one of the most important stories of 2008 has been all the evidence suggesting that this may be looked back on as the year when there was a turning point in the great worldwide panic over man-made global warming. Just when politicians in Europe and America have been adopting the most costly and damaging measures politicians have ever proposed, to combat this supposed menace, the tide has turned in three significant respects....
Secondly, 2008 was the year when any pretence that there was a "scientific consensus" in favour of man-made global warming collapsed. At long last, as in the Manhattan Declaration last March, hundreds of proper scientists, including many of the world's most eminent climate experts, have been rallying to pour scorn on that "consensus" which was only a politically engineered artefact, based on ever more blatantly manipulated data and computer models programmed to produce no more than convenient fictions.

LOL! The greenies and the msm are still touting the globull warming line though! Several days ago I saw public service announcement begging for money to save the polar bears from exstinction! The same old pics of the bear on the melting iceberg; the “dwindling” polar bear population, etc etc.
Pathetic. All I could do I sit there and shake my head.
Yeah! It was that guy from the “Librarian” movies on TNT....it’s a shame, I really liked those movies...
Don’t tell that to Keanu Reaves and the other Hollyweird environmental thinktankers like Leonardo Dicaprio and Cameron Diaz.

An Australian TV station has exposed the polar bear hoax published by the New York Times and broadcast by TV stations across the United States about polar bears stranded on the ice, and blaming their plight on so-called global warming.
It’s a telling and disturbing tale of how the American media is involved in lies and propaganda, along with corrupt scientists who live off global warming grants, to push the global warming lie.
The infamous picture of “stranded” polar bears on the ice floe was taken by an Amanda Byrd, an Australian marine biology student in the summer of 2005 while on a field trip. She took the picture in August, when every year the fringes of the Arctic ice melt.
The research student explained to the TV reporters that the bears exhibited normal behavior and were in no jeopardy.
Denis Simard of Environment Canada agreed:
“You have to keep in mind that the bears are not in danger at all. This is a perfect picture for climate change…you have the impression they are in the middle of the ocean and they are going to die...But they were not that far from the coast, and it was possible for them to swim...They are still alive and having fun.”
Yet these facts were never reported by the American media.
In fact, polar bear numbers have increased since 1960, from about 6,000 bears then to about 25,000 bears today, report Canadian bear researchers. Polar bears can swim as far as 60 miles and will climb onto ice floes to rest.
This photo was used by the corrupt American and British press to tug at the heartstrings of American children.
Besides, this wasn’t a current photo. It was two and one-half years old when published.
So how did this photo land on the front page of American newspapers and TV stations?
Amanad Byrd gave the photo to the Canadian Ice Service, who gave it to Environment Canada, who distributed the image to seven media agencies, including Associated Press (AP).
AP sat on the old photo and finally released it the day the United Nations issued its report on global warming, inferring that global warming was killing polar bears.
Days later, the global warming con-man Al Gore used the photo at a presentation on man-made global warming to heap more lies onto the story.
“Their habitat is melting....beautiful animals, literally being forced off the planet,” Gore sniffed, with the polar bear photo on the screen behind him. Audience members let out gasps of sympathy.
Today, polar bears are thriving, but the con-men and the media continue lying.
Ice and cold still rules the great white north. It’s not melting.
I’ve never seen so much snow and miserable weather as I have up here these past 2 years. We barely had a summer, maybe one heat wave in total and that didn’t last.

There will come a time when there won’t be any snow on any mountains. It will be caused by man’s actions. However, it will be the actions of many of these left-wing God hating people that will be the catalyst.
It just goes to show that if you don’t for something, you’ll fall for anything.

It took 10 years for the politicians to get on the “global warming” wagon, now it will take 10 years for them to get off.
I have to wonder if atheism doesn’t have a something to do with the entire anthropogenic global warming fantasy. Notice, you find very few religious people, of any faith, who have become wrapped around the global warming axle.
The climate changes. The earth’s atmosphere is a huge, chaotic, homeostatic system that is affected by more variables than can be calculated. This is why climate models fail.
Theophobes find this very disturbing because in their view, there being no God and therefore no God’s mercy, there is nothing to say that the climate won’t just spiral out of control and roast them all alive. Since their world centers around worship of themselves and the material works of man they naturally assume that humans, like them, are in control of the very climate of the planet.
