About five years ago Hillsdale College instituted a required semester course for all students on the history of the US Constitution. At the time, only the service academies required such a course. Not one single college or university or college, public or private, had such a requirement. I don't know if any others have begun. I doubt it.

Former "Constitutional law" instructor President Bill Clinton quoted the Gettysberg Address and said it was from the Constitution. Senator Tom Daschle said the Constitution was "a little problem" to be gotten around. "Constitutional law professor" Joe Biden doesn't know Article I from Article II. "Constitutional law" lecturer Barak OBama says the Constitution is flawed to the degree it has been successful in it's intended purpose.

Yeah, I'm pretty pessimistic too that the damage can be repaired, considering the likes of these sworn protectors of the Constitution.

The history and purposes for which it was written are easily stated, and easily understood between any competent teacher and competent student.

Which is one its main assets: it is brief, easily read and comprehensible by virtually all. Compare it to the recently proposed European Union constitution which ran to over one-thousand pages! Let's face it - we need a revolution (if not literal then ideological) to get back on track with respect to the Constitution.

Under a worst case scenario, the best hope could be if a "New America" could be created and established somewhere. Use your imagination as to where.

We've got the guiding document - The Constitution - all we need is some geographical space.

Our days have been numbered since they took prayer out of schools and allowed 50+ million babies to be sacrificed to Baal. We theoretically could still repent, but like all the other republics which came before us, we will not. I say we not to me you or I, as the remnant, but the royal we the people. Maybe the central part of the nation (totally red states ) could successfuly secede, maybe even without civil war, and let the northeast and the west coast have their own communist government that they so desire. Allow people to re-locate if they wish, before sending the illegals home. Conservatives who should want to move to the central states could be allowed to do so, and communists that live in the central states be allowed to GET THE HELL OUT.
Oh well, probably just daydreaming...

I've been convinced for a number of years that the people responsible for naming the streets in SB didn't speak a word of Spanish.

A great article... you are right....it's very hard to read, tho it mirrors my thoughts to a T. Our family has discussed this many times. My kids who are all in their 50’s have remarked that theirs is the last generation who remembers what schooling and life in general was like in our nation...and that when they die, there will basically be no outcry to save or return our nation to the fundamentals of our Constitution and Bill of Rights....the younger ones don't and won't have a clue.

I try not to think about the future, not only for my 3 children, but also their kids and the 5 great grandsons I have, who will never know the greatness of our nation or her history..it breaks my heart, what the so called leaders of this country , both parties by the way, have not only allowed to happen to her, but have/are actively involved in bringing her down .

I hope I'm wrong, but I feel we have a little dictator in the wings, about to become the President. Questionable tho this last election was, I fear it may be the last one we have.
