I watched the opening and closing ceremonies and was mesmerized. The guy who designed these is a genius. I don’t care about the politics he’s stuck with.

I don’t love the NBC commentators but what were they supposed to do - insult and argue with the hosts?

Would you agree there’s a difference between being polite and sucking up as Lauer did with a question that managed to simultaneously put down the USA while praising China?

There a difference between not insulting the hosts and expressing such servile, grovelling propaganda on behalf of the loathsome PRC.

Matt Lauer: “Your Greatness, would you prefer that I use my eager tongue and lick your feet clean or can I simply bend over so that you may ‘use’ me like your favorite concubine?”

>>I watched the opening and closing ceremonies and was mesmerized.<<

I have never been so bored with an opening ceremony in my 48 years of loving every Olympic year.

Dave Barry compared it to all of Asia doing the Electric Slide. My hubby and I laughed and agreed.

We didn’t bother to watch the closing ceremonies.
