Did this have any effect on the security system where the birth certificates are archived?

"Obama, who was born in Hawaii, arrived for a 12-day vacation with his family on December 20. The Obamas are in Kailua with close friends from Chicago and their families." It seems that in every article I read concerning Obama and Hawai'i, the writer takes great pains to mention he was "born here." In this article it's mentioned in paragraph 13.
I don't recall journalists making an similar effort to remind readers that George W. was born in Connecticut. I'm trying hard to remember, and nothing, no article or story, comes up. Does anyone else remember?
Am I the only one seeing the "we just wanted to remind you, Obama was born here in Hawai'i" phenomenon in the print media? Am I imagining things?

Am I imagining things? Nope.
In fact, if you go out on the street and ask folks where George Bush is from most likly they will tell you Texas. Some might even get it as close as Midland. They don't have a clue about Connecticut.

Did this have any effect on the security system where the birth certificates are archived? Having been a licensed Electrician in a past life I can tell you that such a system in a hospital would be far down the priority list of systems on the emergency backup power from the generators. All hospitals have them and the power is highly prioritized.

I bet the Governor of ILL wouldn’t send me a generator if there was a blackout.
