You've stated my sentiments better than I could have. Thank you.
Our family has always lived a financially conservative lifestyle. In these times the advantages we've gained really show. Many people tell us how lucky we are to be in the position that we enjoy. We have to correct them that luck had little to do with it, it was long term planning and knowing when to say no.
That there is no pain free cure as stated in the article is true. What is not stated is there is a vaccine that works 100 percent of the time. The problem for most is that it requires time and self discipline.
Agree 100% self discipline is key. Too many have no such self control and live by the moment. The moment is upon them and they are scrambling. My parents and grandparents generation set the example of frugal living. We actually learned and envied them (in a educational way only of course) for their lessons learned in real world events they had to live through. We have to “show” others by leading by example, setting a simple standard while enjoying life and all that it has to offer. No bunker mentality or rationing. Just common sense budgeting.
We seek to show our friends and neighbors a fiscal way of life that is easy to adjust to and adapt.......and profit from short term and long term. Make them want to be conservative in their every day lives and politics.
Just my opinion.......:o)
Stay safe !
