Channel 4 was rebuked by the Government yesterday for its decision to broadcast an address by the President of Iran as the channel’s alternative Christmas message.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office said that providing a platform for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has called the Holocaust “a myth”, would cause widespread offence, despite the conciliatory tone of his speech.
A spokeswoman for the FCO said: “President Ahmadinejad has, during his time in office, made a series of appalling anti-Semitic statements. The British media are rightly free to make their own editorial choices, but this invitation will cause offence and bemusement not just at home but among friendly countries abroad.”
In the address, a Channel 4 tradition since 1993, Mr Ahmadinejad made a thinly veiled attack on the United States by claiming that Christ would have been against “bullying, ill-tempered and expansionist powers”.

You gotta remember when Ahmadinejad talks about Christ..his version of Christ is one who will return and pray behind //Imam al-Mahdi, slaughter all pigs, destroy the cross wherever it is found, call the people to Islam, and of all things, revoke taxes.

Jihadism and Leftism, for all their surface differences, deep down share a common urge for elitist power for the few and the total and abject enslavement of the many.
Only Western Civilization, of all the world's systems, offers true enlightenment for the masses. And all dictators hate that. Whether they're wearing a Lenin beret or an Imams headscarf. They hate your freedom and mine. And they hate it with all their might.
Compared to that hatred, their minor differences of slave-owning style are not even worth mentioning.
It is more of an Anti-Bush, Anti-US policy with many of them. “Enemy of their enemy” etc. The left had much different views on Jihadis during the Soviet-Afghan war of course. There is also the mix of leftist support for the Palestinians and by default, Islamic terror groups (many of which were KGB constructs or supported).
Kind of ironic that libs have sided with the Jihadis when you look at the hard-line stance they have against “gay rights”, “feminist issues” and separation of Church and State secularism.
There are of course the multicultural libs who feel that all cultures are equal blah blah blah, but then again those people tend to dislike Christian fundamentalists so..so much for diversity I guess.
-sidenote. With Obama at the helm, will the libs have to backtrack?
