In the military, the higher ranking officers serve the troops on holidays. President Bush serving, as the highest rank of all, is traditional. Of course, Democrat presidents (and presidents-elect) don’t know the etiquette, or more likely don’t care.

He should have eaten his meal there with them at the very least. What a tool!

Oh I know, having been an Air Force Officer, one of whose "additional duties" was to eat at the mess hall when serving as a "duty officer" to be sure that the contractors (and the mess sergeants) were not serving the troops slop. Now I work on an Army post, and see that sort of thing all the time.

He should have eaten his meal there with them at the very least.

Yes he should have. What a Maroon!

But I think this will be typical of how he treats the military, they'll get lip service, while he cuts their budgets and then their numbers, which are already pretty thin.
