I’d like to have been in that room 10 minutes after the Obamasiah left the room. The jokes must have been killer.

...waited for the President-elect to come to them to stand up...

If this bozo came to my front door I would slam it in his face!

Easy on Obama on this thread guys. He did visit the troops. Let’s not make any snarky comments about it.

The shirt he has on is about 2 sizes too big. No matter how mainstream he tries to appear, he has a slight “homeboy” look about him.

I dunno. . .but can someone recall when the last president-elect visited troops at Christmas and even sent a message to the troops?

Can you think of another president elect who had his own seal? Or held daily press conferences? Or asked to move into the Blair house early?

I can't.

Not to be picky but all those Marines are in Army camouflage.

It is an easy mistake to make. The colors are slightly different in the Marine Pattern (MARPAT) but the big indicator is that MARPAT has black pixels in it. In addition, if you look at the service tags above the left breast pocket, you can see an “A” after the “U.S.”

However there is one thing that would be the same no matter the service or location, and that is the genuinely affectionate greeting President Bush receives from members of the Armed Forces.

As for the reserved reception that President-elect Obama received, at least part of that has got to be prebriefing by the command at the direction of the Secret Service. You probably know the drill: everyone already has their food and is seated, no getting up or moving around while he is in the area, stand when spoken to, etc.

Same here.. To complain that Obama doesn’t attend mass is wrong.. I would rather complain about his policies.. Besides I didn’t know attending mass was a requirement..

I suppose Obama could've suddenly become an America loving patriot, but if the past is any indication, its more about him playing 'mr president' than about honoring the troops.

Anyone else should feel free, but I'm not gonna give the guy the benefit of a doubt.

Yeah, you have a point.

Hubris redefined.

Arrogance personified.

God help me to put up with at least 4-yrs of his Mussolini head-back-looking-down-his-nose pose.

I know - it’s not fair to pick on the mentally unarmed.

My understanding is that Mass is practiced mainly by the Catholic faith (and Lutherens too maybe?). Which means that there are millions of Christians who do not attend “Mass”. So, I agree that this is a non-issue. I’m more concerned about the man’s moral fiber (Chicago politician), and his political belief system (he wants to defang our military).

Some freepers need to go over to the ABC blog on this article and start hammering the liberal loonies who are attacking some patriots who have posted.
