Considering the media buildup, it would be a shock if he was not. But such a public is fickle and can turn on its idols.
Carter was thing big thing in 1976 too.

If Obama is so admired, then why does he have to have so much Secret Service detail, to the extent that it is stretching the Secret Service to the limits?
Where does one get this kind of info, when half the country voted against Obama?

Hillary Clinton led the list of most-admired woman at 20 percent -- a spot she's held for 13 of the past 16 years. Proving that a) it's strictly a name recognition exercise and b) there are millions of sad and/or deranged people.

How 'bout that? An unemployed black street agitator! Then, too, a lot of these same folks consider Rap to be 'music'.
Persoanlly, I hope they keep adding to his pedestal. It makes for a bigger splat down the road.

This poll only asked the question, “Who do you admire?” If they had asked a follow up question, “Why do you admire this person,” the answers would have been comical to say the least.

The phone question:
"Hello. We're conducting a poll on who you admire.
A) Do you admire the new President-Elect, who was born in a log cabin, rose from poverty to greatness all on his own, and will bring you peace, prosperity, and free lunches, clothes, free houses, new cars, and restore America's poor reputation in all the worlds' eyes, and will bring Change You Can Believe In!
or
B) Do you admire the "Selected, not-elected" President Bush, who has been beholdin' to Big Oil, Haliburton, and other special interests, while approving torture of alleged terrorists, and has lied and caused the deaths of millions of innocent Muslims and thousands of U.S. Soldiers"?.......
Thank you for your un-biased opinion.
