It is nice that our new President understands the duel significance of Christmas day. It was an improbable and pinnacle moment. The point at which history branched and common men rose to greatness on faith and will alone. If only Obama understood and appreciated the principles for which those men and Washington fought. If he would really take those principles to heart he could rise to greatness. Obama is interesting. I don't expect to like a lot of what he will propose but I expect that his most ardent supporters my find many disappointments ahead where he is concerned.

Hey come on.
Who’s to say Indonesians cannot be inspired by the bravery of George Washington?
After all, the protesting students in the days leading up to that ugly incident in Tian-an-Men Square in Beijing, erected a statue of lady liberty.
Some American principles transcend borders.
Now ... about that birth certificate.

I would suggest that Hussein walk across Delaware River to prove he is the ONE. He don’t need no stinking boats.

"We know that millions of Americans don't have a job. Many more are struggling to pay the bills or stay in their homes.Obama is currently vacationing in Hawaii . . .
Obama can't have the slightest inkling what Washington and his troops went through; those experiences are absolutely beyond his comprehension. He can't even begin to imagine.

I wouldn't say that Washington's crossing of the Delaware was "improbable," because he had determination, guts, and was fighting for a cause.
Obama, on the other hand, hasn't got a clue and has never displayed an ounce of courage, as far as I know.

George Washington would be disgusted with Barack Obama who is radically pro-abortion, who surrounded himself with America-haters, who through his philosophy and voting record encourages dependence and slothfulness, and who has an antipathy to our military.

Obozo is spouting a lot of patriotic sounding rubbish because he knows full well that he intends to attack America and everything her Patriots fought for and loved about her.

Obama said in a holiday message that Washington and his army "faced impossible odds"
I'm sure 0bama can appreciate such odds, after all - he was facing impossible odds in managing to scrub his personal history until there are no records with details of his birth, no records with details of his schooling, no records with details of his medical history, and while those records may exist, nobody is going to see them except for Comrade 0bama.
General George Washington would have said "Mr. 0bama, what do you know of serving your Country, besides befriending those who sought to blow it to smithereens?"

HOW DARE this Obama-weasel talk about Washington and his troops crossing the Delaware as a point of inspiration?!?!?!
Obama is hostile to everything George Washington, our founders, and the Continental Army stand for. Obama is a wretched treasonous weasel. How dare he try to steal the achievements of the people who won our independence???? Obama would have been saying “Don’t go!” and cutting off supplies to the troops and calling for surrender.
The Obamanation is the guy who in the middle of a WAR tried to put support from our troops in combat. This Obama-puke is the guy who tried to LOSE a war with troops in the field.
Now he thinks he can appropriate the great victory of Washington’s troops for political purposes??? This Obamanation is not worthy to mention Washington’s name.

He's trying to trick patriots to support him. He knows there's a lot of people who hate what he is.
He will say anything whether he believes it or not to serve his purposes.
This is what political correctness and affirmative action have brought this nation to.
Do you like it?

I'd like to see him enact this one. yup. come on O'... rebel against the taxing powers that be... it would inspire a lot of Americans. Boston Tea Party 1773 Protests in the colonies against the Stamp Acts had died down when Parliament passed the Tea Act. The new act granted a monopoly on tea trade in the Americas to the East India Tea Company. The Governor of Massachusetts, Thomas Hutchinson, insisted that tea be unloaded in Boston, despite a boycott organized by the Sons of Liberty. On the evening of December 16th, thousands of Bostonians and farmers from the surrounding countryside packed into the Old South Meeting house to hear Samuel Adams. Adams denounced the Governor for denying clearance for vessels wishing to leave with tea still on board. After his speech the crowd headed for the waterfront. From the crowd, 50 individuals emerged dressed as Indians. They boarded three vessels docked in the harbor and threw 90,000 pounds of tea overboard.

General Washington crossed the Delaware to defeat an enemy intent on destroying America. Nobama should be careful where he looks for inspiration.
I would think Mao’s Long March would be more to his inspirational leanings.

The part O left out was that the German troops were either drunk or asleep. It was quite a feat to just get across that river at that time of year, but, once over, they didn’t exactly face a pitched battle.
I think O chose a fitting metaphor for his win on 11/4. He and his vote stealing pals snuck up on voters who were drunk on the rhetorical Kool-Aid he was serving. The rest slept because — except for Palin — the alternative choice wasn’t all that hot.

...he said Americans can point their country in a new direction. If it hadn't been for the despicable McCain we would have done exactly that.
Since we can't get a noble leader through what passes for a political system in this nation there may be another way!
At any rate, this worthless piece of America-hating crap will never lead anyone anywhere except to the dustbin of history!
