It is nice that our new President understands the duel significance of Christmas day. It was an improbable and pinnacle moment. The point at which history branched and common men rose to greatness on faith and will alone. If only Obama understood and appreciated the principles for which those men and Washington fought. If he would really take those principles to heart he could rise to greatness. Obama is interesting. I don't expect to like a lot of what he will propose but I expect that his most ardent supporters my find many disappointments ahead where he is concerned.

Hey come on.
Who’s to say Indonesians cannot be inspired by the bravery of George Washington?
After all, the protesting students in the days leading up to that ugly incident in Tian-an-Men Square in Beijing, erected a statue of lady liberty.
Some American principles transcend borders.
Now ... about that birth certificate.

I would suggest that Hussein walk across Delaware River to prove he is the ONE. He don’t need no stinking boats.

"We know that millions of Americans don't have a job. Many more are struggling to pay the bills or stay in their homes.Obama is currently vacationing in Hawaii . . .
Obama can't have the slightest inkling what Washington and his troops went through; those experiences are absolutely beyond his comprehension. He can't even begin to imagine.

I thought he would be more inspired by the horde crossing the Rio Grande.

This jerk despises America — he's just getting a perverse pleasure from rubbing Americana’s noses into his fetid droppings.

I am afraid that, unless he is forced to produce it, we shall never see it and will always keep on wondering who he really is. And don’t look at any of the three branches of government to help resolve the riddle—they’re all in it together.

I wouldn't say that Washington's crossing of the Delaware was "improbable," because he had determination, guts, and was fighting for a cause.
Obama, on the other hand, hasn't got a clue and has never displayed an ounce of courage, as far as I know.

He’s the rotten fruit of a thoroughly disfunctional upbringing. Kind of like produce grown in toxic Chinese sludge and then foisted upon unsuspecting consumers. No country of origin label. Beware.

I agree. Washington put his life on the line to see this Country through. For this jack-ass to bring up 57 states and his wife to declare she was never proud of this Country untill now is BS!

George Washington would be disgusted with Barack Obama who is radically pro-abortion, who surrounded himself with America-haters, who through his philosophy and voting record encourages dependence and slothfulness, and who has an antipathy to our military.

Obozo is spouting a lot of patriotic sounding rubbish because he knows full well that he intends to attack America and everything her Patriots fought for and loved about her.

Obama said in a holiday message that Washington and his army "faced impossible odds"
I'm sure 0bama can appreciate such odds, after all - he was facing impossible odds in managing to scrub his personal history until there are no records with details of his birth, no records with details of his schooling, no records with details of his medical history, and while those records may exist, nobody is going to see them except for Comrade 0bama.
General George Washington would have said "Mr. 0bama, what do you know of serving your Country, besides befriending those who sought to blow it to smithereens?"
