Thank God she’s alive. The smart thing to do would be to stay in the car, though. They would have found her sooner.

I work in Ancaster - this was just blocks away. I also got stuck trying to get home. Thankfully, the guys from the shop were in a vehicle not far behind and saw me (I had pulled off the road), and got me out. It was a terrible storm.

We were all very happy and stunned that she was found alive. She had left her car to cross a field, as her home was just on the other side.

She was in critical condition in hospital last I heard, and will likely lose a few digits.

Four days?!?!

Bailey the unknown reindeer would've found her in four minutes!

I hope this very lucky lady recovers okay and doesn't have any lasting effects from her adventure.

And kudos to Ace the dog who found the lady. Job well done by a police dog.

2 men froze to death here in WI this week. One was a newspaper carrier, a rural route, car went into ditch, snow plow driver found his body away from the car. Man had no cell phone. Second man’s truck or car left the snowy road, they found his body 600 feet from his farm house. We’ve had brutally cold weather here and it snows every 2 days. By brutally cold, I mean nights of 10 below and daytime highs of zero to 5. It hit 20 yesterday and it felt warm. More snow yesterday and today. We have had over 3 feet already. Al Gore is a dork.
