Tina Fey Voted AP Entertainer of the Year (barf alert)
ABC News ^ | December 24, 2008 | JAKE COYLE

Tina Fey is the entertainer of the year? You betcha.

Fey was voted The Associated Press' Entertainer of the Year, an annual honor chosen by newspaper editors and broadcast producers across the country. Fey was selected by AP members as the performer who had the greatest impact on culture and entertainment in 2008.

The 38-year-old comedian bested runner-up Robert Downey Jr., whose comeback was capped with the blockbuster smash "Iron Man," and the third-place vote-getter, Heath Ledger, who posthumously wowed audiences as the Joker in "The Dark Knight."

But it was Fey who most impressed voters largely with her indelible impression of Gov. Sarah Palin on "Saturday Night Live." Her cameos on her old show (where she had been a head writer until 2006) helped drive the show to record ratings and eventually drew an appearance from Palin herself.

BOO...it should have gone to Biden & his comedy combo of "Stand Up Chuck" and "FDR Television" routine. Comedy classics!

I think it’s time for conservatives to work toward a concerted goal of creating an alternate infostructure. The Internet is a good start but we need to do much more: movie studios, more TV programming, etc. Liberals did this long ago and have successfully effected a COUP of this country. We better get creative and busy if we ever intend to take it back.

I’ll agree that Fey is attractive, BUT when the real Sarah Palin appeared on SNL it was very apparent that Fey was a very poor imitation.

I bet Palin doing Fey would out-perform Fey doing Palin.

(No double-entendre intended.)

So if Sarah comes back for another run in 2012 I suppose they will be dragging Tina Fey back out to undermine the effort once again.

Tina Fey has mother issues as does Susan Sarandon. Both their moms are Republicans.

First, I’m on analogue (antenna) so “Entourage” is an unknown to me.

That said, 2.5 Men, as a cultural send-up, still makes me chuckle. The Office and 30 Rock are just, plain, not funny.

Well, okay, I can give Tracy McGrady some props for his (all too small) bits. He, of all the Hollyweird mooks on that show, has a decent understanding of the idiocy in the current culture.

Fey is very talented, she deserved this award even if she didn’t impersonate Palin.

“I bet Palin doing Fey would out-perform Fey doing Palin.”

You have provided soothing relief for my mind’s eye with that bit of “entendre”!

Gracias, mi amigo!

Is this true? that would explain quite a bit now.

Fey’s only claim to fame is her imitation of a totally hot Palin.

How interesting, talking about T Fey...the Spanish word for “ugly” is “Feo”.

Coincidence?

These people are insane.

Heath Ledger almost stole the show in batman.
Iron Man was just incredible thanks to Robert Downey Jr.
Tina Fey? Not even in the same league as these two.

That's Spanish for an ugly dude. It's "fea" for an ugly gal.

You're right. I was in such a hurry to make my point that I left out that little detail. Unemployment has made me "estupido"!

Media types love Tina Fey. She's everything to them. I know these type of people, I grew up with them.

I don't get the whole Tina Fey thing. She wasn't funny as a regular on SNL (nobody else is anymore either) and she isn't funny now. I didn't think she was funny as Sara Palin and I've never laughed at anything she has been involved with.

Maybe I'm getting old but the new brand of humor has no effect on me. Very few people are really funny nowadays. And I've been known my whole life for having a really good sense of humor.

Two other people who are darlings of the left are John Stewart and Colbert. Both of these guys are not funny. They are simply left wing hacks masquerading as comedians.

This women is a bum. Never have seen her perform and never will.

You are half right. I don't think much of her either. However to be fair you actually need to she her perform in order to have a legitimate opinion. Don't be so vulgar and negative. Fey isn't as bad as a lot of liberals. She is just one of those people who think they are funny and aren't.

I agree, Ledger was spectacular in Dark Knight, and Downey Jr. was awesome as well. I think viewers (libs) flocked to the Palin sketches because they could not handle the reality that Palin is a political force. This drove them to seek asylum from reality, and herego they watched Fey on SNL and suddenly felt better about themselves.
