.... Last week I referred briefly to the birth certificate flap that right-wing yahoos refuse to lay to rest. This has to do with the idea that Obama was not born in Hawaii and that his birth certificate was forged and therefore
he is not a legal citizen and therefore was not qualified - that word again - to run for president and therefore every act passed into law that he signs will be null and void and besides that he's going to let the Muslims invade, or something or the other. I actually got an e-mail in response
to that reference, telling me I'm way off base and the matter isn't over and giving me a link to some "FAQs" about it. This guy, who I don't think is local, probably believes in Santa Claus and still thinks he's a commie. (All that red, you know.)
Here's what the U.S. Constitution website has to say is one of the ways (there actually are quite a few) a person becomes a U.S. citizen:
"Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic and diplomatic service included in this time)."
In short, any finagling with Obama's birth certificate was completely unnecessary because, like I said last week, he is a U.S. citizen no matter where he was born.
I hear some people are saying, why doesn't he release the Hawaii records and put the issue to rest?
Maybe it's because there is no issue to put to rest. He is a citizen. Period.

So you’re saying she’s not qualified to be a democrat senator? What if Katie Curric interviews her and she identifies Afganistan as a salad dressing? Surely that will firmly establish her creds with the demo establishment.

If it wasn’t for her last name, and money, Caroline Kennedy would do well to get a job at flipping burgers at a fast food restaurant. Of course that probably holds true for most politicians, bureaucrats, and pundits in DC. Most of them would be of little use in the real world the rest of us exist and survive in.
People need to be taught history better, but then that wouldn't allow liberals to re-write history to better suit them, ala 1984. The Constitution says you must be born here or be a citizen at the time of the adoption of the Constitution to be qualified to be President. This was inserted because everyone of age to be President had not been "born" in the U.S. as there had not been a "United States" until the Constitution was written, otherwise no one would have been eligible to be President.
The "diplomatic service" stuff was inserted later so as to clarify that those born to diplomatic staff in foreign countries would be eligible, as those were U.S. residents serving overseas.
The first sentence out of this brain dead idiot says it all.
Actually VP Lyndon Johnson killed her daddy and J. Edgar Hoover sealed the deal by getting all the evidence that was fit to be forged, forged.
