Checking on the source "Liberal Lunacy", I read the disclaimer that in order to provoke liberals etc, they print things that are not true. Simply put though and I agree, Liberal Lunacy continue that they could well be very true words.
It had me going though for a little while, I started to work up a little high dudgeon. We all need a good laugh and indeed I got one- and laughed at myself as well.
Since at least 2005 that's no longer an option so I use up my remaining vacation time. This year that's three full weeks (well, okay, I'll use my first day of 2009 early).
Don't mind the time off, but liked the extra paycheck...

The long Holiday Week is a staple of Socialist European countries so they have time to get to the Mediterranian and back. (The Med - Hawaii - same difference.)

what is the “O” thinking??? People have worked during Christmas WEEK as long as businesses have been open for business. This guy REALLY hasn’t ever had a REAL JOB! I’m taking off Christmas week THIS year because I chose to save vacation time to do so! working doesn’t keep me from doing the necessary shopping - THAT’s called PLANNING! All I can say is “OH MY!”
