Okay, okay!
LOL
Perfect for Christmas, right? Are you all set for the holiday? Do you have Christmas plans?
How is your day shaping up?
It rained all through the night and it's a pretty, mild, sunny morning here today. I'm working on printing out some training materials for an upcoming class I have to teach and doing odds and ends so that I'm free and clear when things kick back up into high gear January 2.
we got a few “ of snow too! Yippee!
You Spread a Lot of Holiday Cheer |
You give freely, and you enjoy this special time of the year. There's a good chance that you spread cheer every time of the year... not just during the holidays. You're kind, upbeat, and generous. Anyone who crosses your path is lucky. |
For a change, this particular quiz pretty well nailed it.
Spreading cheer in the sandbox!
:-)
*HUG*
One of these days, maybe we’ll share a real one.
This day has come to an end on this side of the world...time to hit the sack.
With a little luck, the snow level will drop low enough that we’ll get some overnight.
See you tomorrow!
I look forward to sharing a real one one of these days. :)
Good evening, Perky. Hope you had a good day.

A sweet potato pie recipe, made with butter and sweet potatoes, along with vanilla and cinnamon.
Ingredients:
* 4 ounces butter, softened
* 2 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
* 2 cups granulated sugar
* 1 small can (5 ounces, about 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons) evaporated milk
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 3 eggs, beaten
* 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
* 2 prepared pie shells, unbaked
Preparation:
Mix butter, potatoes, sugar and evaporated milk until well blended. Add vanilla, eggs, and cinnamon; mix well. Pour into the prepared pie shells. Bake in a 350° oven for about 1 hour, until set.
Makes 2 pies.
Tomorrow we are having lunch provided by the company...so close to Christmas, that catering wasn’t available, so lots of fancy deli trays, etc. Should be really good. Leftovers will probably find their way home, as the next work day won’t be until Monday. Finally...4 whole days off in a row!
Then, as it is Christmas Eve, and I’m betting lots won’t even be there, they will let us go early (a rare time when payroll will be able to “partake”).
The holidays will be very quiet...my brother that lives up here will be working til Saturday, I think, so just my folks and me. No little ones anymore...come to think of it, the youngest is 18. I think I’ll take them on a drive to see Christmas lights (I need to look for the map to those that entered the annual contest). And with all the fresh snow, the displays with be enhanced.
Good evening, MM...((HUGS))...are you enjoying the colder weather? The snow? Ready for Christmas? Gonna be with friends?
How satisfying it must be to see the adoptions. So many loving animals that just need good homes. Good for you.
Merry Christmas to all!
Good evening, MamaB....thanks for the link. I’ll have to give it a try. 2 monitors? Good idea!
well, I’ll tell ya.
You KNOW I love the snow! Every inch of it counts towards a nice White Christmas! :) LOL
And yep, I’m ready to go to my Sister’s house tomorrow night & watch my grown kid and her 2 little ones open up their presents. That’s the fun part. Seein’ little tikes’ eyes light up with joy!
Went to Wallyworld this morning & got cold & wet with the flying wet snow. Didn’t like that part of it. The parking lot’s way too big to navigate in this weather! LOL
Whatcha gonna be up to?
A nice, quiet, don’t have to do anything 4 days off. Got a turkey from work and gave it to my Mom, but I also got her a turkey breast (for turkey sandwiches) as we will only be 3 on Christmas Day. I’m really looking forward to the down time.
