Few people come as quickly to the defense of George McGovern as McGovern himself. The antiwar senator from South Dakota lost to Richard Nixon in a landslide in the 1972 presidential election, only to see Nixon, caught up in the Watergate scandal, resign in disgrace. For McGovern, though—along with many Democrats who followed him—the damage was done, and the now retired politician has spent decades defending the electability of antiwar liberals, insisting his campaign was undone by dirty tricks and bad luck. In recent years, McGovern, 86, hasn't relinquished the spotlight, condemning the war in Iraq and declaring Barack Obama, whom he endorsed after initially supporting Hillary Clinton, a "second Abraham Lincoln."

Ever since LBJ dreamed up the War On Poverty and The great Society whites (especially employed white males) have increasingly become second class citizens.
When society says it allows preferred treatment for one group what that really means is that it discriminates against another.

In his day, Lincoln was the most hated President this nation has ever produced; no other even comes into the running for that title. Saying the Lincoln was a “healing figure” isn’t some minor distortion of an arcane point of history; it’s a wholesale rejection of even the slightest understanding of his entire presidency. He was also about as far from an “anti-war” president as any man could possibly be.
I don't know about freeing the whites, but it would be nice to see a president that would want to free the taxpayers.
