Schwarzenegger For President?
AOL Political Machine ^ | December 22, 2008 | Christopher Weber

In a sprawling interview with 60 Minutes last night, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger dropped a not-so-subtle hint to Republicans: get busy changing the Constitution because Ahnold has his eyes on the White House. Asked by Scott Pelley if he'd like to be president, Schwarzenegger responded in no uncertain terms:

"Yeah, absolutely," Schwarzenegger acknowledged. "I think that I am always a person that looks for the next big goal. And I love challenges. I always set goals that are so high, that are almost impossible to achieve. Because then, you're always hungry for climbing and climbing. Because it's always interesting. The climb is always interesting. When you get there you just have to pick another goal."

Schwarzenegger was, of course, not born in the U.S.A. so it would take some rule changing before he's able to launch a presidential bid. I'm sure Californians, myself included, would like to see the governor make good on his campaign promise to chip away at the Golden State's epic budget shortfall before he starts looking for a promotion.

“Republicans: get busy changing the Constitution”

Reply 1: Can’t. We lack a 2/3 majority. Or any majority at all thanks to RINOs like YOU.

Reply 2: OMG go the hell! WTF are you smoking?

I would question further whether he has done that great of job as governor of California. If he had, would California be in the crisis that it finds itself?

Tublecane: But of course those men weren’t elected because they threw themselves into the breach. They were elected, mostly, because they proved themselves able administrators.

Your post reminds me of why I think Governors are almost always better suited to be President than Senators. I'd much prefer to have someone with Executive branch-type experience as President, rather than someone from from the Legislative branch who just likes to throw laws at issues and expect things to get better. How strange, then, that this election race was so full of Senators...

This is a backup plot of Democrates incase Some States put laws in place to force candidates to send their elections office certified Birth Certificates to be able to be on the ballot. Look for them to push for a constitutional amendment the moment a few states put laws in place to reveal Barry in 2012.
