Except it took Vader 1 second to beat Solo and his blaster.

How in the hell can someone mistake a lightsaber for a gun? That doesn’t make sense. Do these people even know what either looks like?

In that case, they should outlaw the hamburger bun.

I mean, WTF?

Happiness occurs between the ears, I feel sorry for those who can find none.

Ain't that the truth! That should be a tag-line!

Little tough to defend the homeland with fish and chips.

Fresh fruit, on the other hand, is deadly.

banned by troubled retailer Woolworths because barmy shop bosses fear it could be mistaken for a gun.

So, what do folks across the pond use for hand drills?

Maybe they need some help from the Modern Major General. He could tell at sight a Mauser rifle from a javelin, so I would think he could help here as well.

What a coincidence. I just banned Woolworths from the list of places I will shop.

It makes sense in a distinctly backwards, cowardly british sort of way.

it's the representation of a weapon, albeit a fantasy weapon, and as such could incite ideas of self reliance and resistance.

Two concepts that are anathema to the modern, well adjusted, member of the british state.

Therefore, the item is forbidden.

What about pointy sticks then...when are we going to cover pointy sticks?

Not as deadly as the salmon mousse.

There are some in Germany, as well. I don’t know if they are going under with the ones in England, but the ones in Germany were definitely on the down slope last time I was in one.

Today they would be asking for a bailout along with White Front, Gemco, Fedco, 5 & Dime, Rexall, etc.

I worked in a White Front after I graduated high school. I never new that it was a franchise store.

It was family owned/operated and it was the only one I had ever heard of. To this day I have never heard of another.

You do know that Lucas has “fixed”, Ministry of Truth style, the original Star Wars movies right?
