Still no one from the Obama transition team - for the second week.
Outside of Cheney and the increasingly faint hope that Fox will do journalism in lieu of just more MSM crap on the man (plus the possibility that the token R’s won’t be muzzled or simply outshouted), this lineup is only validation of our household policy: Grandma and I watch at most two or three hours of TV per week, it’s entirely local news and we’ve debated the value even of that little bit. That deadline for DTV keeps getting closer and we’re finding fewer reasons by the day to invest the cash in the electricity to run our old TV, let alone go out and buy any new equipment.
(Grandma’s working at “getting on that computer” more than just email, but now lets me swoop around on the net and then give her a daily briefing.)
I'm thankful, too, that we will not be hearing from Levin, Lugar, Graham, and McCain today.
The absence of Caroline Kennedy must mean that she's not yet ready for Prime Time.
The proper quote is appropriate for every Biden statement, but it is missing a comma: Stand, upchuck.

Getting ready to go to mass with granddaughter.
God Bless....husband is home and granddaughter spent the weekend with us.
I have spent so much time blubbering with the sheer joy of it. Yesterday we were all outside walking my famous walking track: dog, granddaughter with IPOD, me and husband.
He has to walk every day as he was completely paralyzed for so long. He is regaining control of the use of that once useless right hand.
I still must give him infusions twice a day but that four X a day every six hours job is now handled effectively by pills,...ten bucks for a month’s worth from Walmart...God Bless America.
I am so grateful. Yet I am scared a bit. Husband still must take huge quantities of anti-seizure drugs and he did have two very minor seizures while in the rehab center. Very minor, rest assured but as reminder, it was a two hour seizure that caused the man to be sedated, intubated and in a coma for six straight days.
We both are happy and hope this Christmas, as small as it will be due to circumstances, is the best of all.
On another very, very sad note, husband’s brother’s wife’s father...ie husband’s brother’s father-in-law, a vibrant man of only 65 years of age, dropped dead yesterday of a heart attack. There had never been an indication one that the man had heart problems. We are all in shock.
I will pray at mass and your prayers for a complete recovery for my husband and for this poor man’s soul to have died so close to this wonderful holiday, are always welcome.

the doggie must be happy to have granddaughter there. Ha.Those doggies know priorities. Is doggie protective of your husband now? Mine is always right there if I get sick.

Caroline is of course sooooo much more prepared for the Senate than Sarah was for VP...you know Caroline wrote books, even if she never ran a government. ha. Did you know her last name is Kennedy???
Lets see how SNL treats Caroline, that should be fun.

I am not teaching catechism this morning but the kids are all in a Nativty play so we’ll have rehersal after mass for sometime. Still, they always (cutely) get something wrong on the big day so it’s not like they need rehersal!
Wallace is pretty smug, it is one of the things I don’t like about him.
I love to see Cheney, he looks good, sounds better! :-)
First question: did you “kick this problem down the road”, as if the problem could be fixed overnight. Ignorance by Chris Wallace shows clearly. Cheney: What the President did was help...give them a line of credit but demand they get their act together.
I find it interesting that Wallace’s eyes are all over the place, he doesn’t look directly at Cheney when asking the questions, or formulating them. Cheney on the other hand is eye-ball to eye-ball.
