I like the spirit, but not the implication that better (more) government is the solution.

“Name me a leader who has a better idea for homeland security than making us take off our shoes in airports and throw away our shampoo?”
Easy. G.W. Bush. He took the fight to the terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq. His political opponents would rather have treated terrorism as just another law enforcement issue. The choice was between slapping mosquitoes, and draining the swamp — Bush chose to drain the swamp.

Jerk.
Hey Lee, this 2008. You are not the big shot anymore, and when you were it was not the world it is now. but, hey , you are the expert.
And haven’t heard from you when the auto industry kept going with the UAW..or when the subprimes came on and banks were threatened by Acorn...or maybe YOU have a better plan for the mideast?
You ran a car company. Big whoop. You got lucky during a crisis when the feds bailed your butt out in a time that was NOTHING like it is now.
Glory days, you’re singing Glory Days, Lee.
STFU!

(No, pundits strongly believe that the proper solution is more dilution.)

So heres where we stand. Were immersed in a bloody war with no plan for winning and no plan for leaving. This is just one of the things he gets wrong in this piece. There are some things that are correct, but too much that he just gets wrong.
He's right about Obozo though.

So correct!! If I hear Katrina one more time I'll puke last years Christmas dinner. Katrina was the beginning of the helpless demanding that a traffic cop - The Federal Government - take charge of their life and keep everyone from having a bad hair day.
Warnings by Pres. Bush did not get their attention, but they blamed him for not helping faster. Have you heard anyone mention Galveston Island since Ike? The reason you have not is because people are working to solve their problems - the old fashioned way - they work.

I’m pretty sure it was DeLorean and not Ioccoca who was responsible for the Mustang.

Paid back (early IIRC) with interest.

and the owner of the famous quote "Lead, follow, or get out of the way"? If I'm not mistaken, that's the motto of the Third Marine Division and has been since around World War II.
