What are they afraid of? I thought the Great One could take care of himself. Those streets belong to the people, not Obama.

Heard “Whitey” has to stand in the back of the crowd.
Referring of course to Hubert “Whitey” Whitney.

No chairs? I wonder about wheel chairs.
Perhaps Holy Hussein Obama will heal the lame.
Or perhaps Joe Biden will tell those in wheel chairs to stand up and walk.

No worries, I'd wager The Black Panthers will be there making sure everyone tows the line.
Glad I'll be far, far away from the Coronation.

Some older people are backing out of their inaugural plans, partly because of a no-chair rule for the parade route. Parenting blogs are abuzz with complaints about the less-than-kid-friendly restrictions.
I'm sure they will talk themselves into believing that this is all Bush's fault. Somehow.

"But they're definitely not making it easy for parents with smaller children to go." Isn't that because having a baby is a punishment? "I don't want my daughter punished with a baby..." Hail to the Chief.

I just might attend out of sheer curiosity.
I was a campaign ‘04 volunteer. Besides a photo of GWB and Laura, my reward was crowd control duty at the inaugural parade. In truth it was a cluster-f**k and cold as hell but quite the experience nevertheless. We volunteers were able to use our own heads and improvise fairly well but I’ll never forget the knots of hardcore Truth, Peace and Justice types ranting foul-mouthed slogans as the parade went by. They reverted to mindlessly screaming obscenities when the presidential limos passed. At least the streakers I saw were nubile.
I’m betting that the Kos Kidz, Code Pinkos and Gays will be wanting to give Obama (King of Kings, King of Lands, Seas and Sky, May He Live Forever!) just as hard a time for not measuring up to their wet dreams. What I want is to see how indulgently they are handled under “O’s” reign compared with the evil Bushitler. They may be in for a rude awakening.

Open? Totally strange. Usually you don't need to carry food, bedding and seats with you to this event. HOWEVER, since 5 million people have said they're showing up, these things become necessities.
Pray for a blizzard BEFORE inauguration day. That'll keep the crowd away from the parade route and the Mall and may reduce their numbers.
On the chance that we have several million storm refugees in the area I'm buying about $10,000 worth of bottle water which will be available at the intersection of I95. I495. I395, Keenemill and Rolling Roads for $5 per bottle.
Warm blankets and plastic raincoats suitible for camping out under culverts and overpasses in the Mixing Bowl are tentatively priced at $500 ~ CASH, no credit cards, no checks please.

Good grief! Those attending should go into a rigorous month long training just to make it through the Inaugural Parade, and only the most fit will be able to dance later at an Inaugural Ball.
Seems it would be easier to list what IS allowed.

OK. One more indication that words and truth mean nothing to this group. Obviously they think we’re all stupid.

I’m trying to figure out why a parent of a child that needed a stroller would want to subject them to January weather in DC? Personally I’m praying for an ice storm that week that shuts the power off so I don’t have to watch the thing!
To: Joiseydude
No strollers near the Capitol. No tents on the National Mall...and NO BIRDS!
