SAN FRANCISCO -- California Attorney General Jerry Brown has changed his position with respect to the state's new same-sex marriage ban and is now urging the state Supreme Court to void Proposition 8.
Brown filed a brief Friday saying the measure, which amended the California Constitution to limit marriage to a man and a woman, is itself unconstitutional because it deprives gay couples of a fundamental right.

Poor old MoonBeam just can't win.
Brown’s been given his orders to fight Prop. #8 if he wants the backing he will need to run for Governor again.
Guaranteed that’s why his implied position is now secured in anti prop. #8 manuevering.
Another purchased Democrat.
Considering his Jesuit background , he is a mystery man.
I remember when Nunez was trying to push state sanctioned euthanasia.
All I could say was.. You first, Fabian. ;-)
Or maybe his son would get when he is convict OUCH that cold huh
That is another sad story, huh? Gangs. The bigger the group , the stupider they get.
A professed celibate chasing tail up and down the state while his head was in low orbit. Those were heady times.
We forget that despite the fact that these men are homosexuals, they are still men. If they are so tough, why don’t they walk into a mosque and challenge them to a fight? Islam forbids homosexuality. I guess it’s not PC or they are afraid.
Instead they pick on Mormons. That’s like challenging the Easter Bunny to a fight.
So they hide behind the black robes of their mommies in the judicial branch.
I was here for most of that ride.
What Linda Ronstadt ever saw in him beats me.
He was no acolyte politically.
That was a very good post (#17).
Liberals want to destroy all resistance. While we want to defeat them in elections and referenda, they want to conquer us by any means necessary. It's time for us to wake the Hell up!
“Declaring a portion of the Constitution unconstitutional would be a judicial nuclear bomb.”
I wonder if the US Supreme Court can cite a state Supreme Court ruling as precedent?
God help us.
Yeah more small minroity telling majority what to do
Thanks, Lear. This phenomenon has baffled me for years. I see people who are obviously intelligent enough to have risen to very powerful positions in life, yet they seem unable to grasp the most obvious truths before them:
1. Bipartisanship NEVER works because liberals NEVER give up their core principles. NEVER. All meaningful compromise comes from one side. Our side.
2. There is positively nothing a conservative politician can do that will earn fair coverage from the MSM. NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING.
3. The voters don’t want “centrists,” no matter what the MSM claims. The voters respond far more to LEADERSHIP BY CONVICTION than they do to policy position. THIS is how Reagan got tens of millions of Democrat votes. The man had a vision that he stuck to with utter tenacity and he would state it at anytime to anybody. STRENGTH works.
It’s time for us to see our current political situation for what it really is: A WAR for the future of this country. And our only chance at victory is a STRONG, UNYIELDING, UNAPOLOGETIC conservative who yields no ground. Sarah comes to mind.

Has anybody considered secession? I mean why not start our own country based upon more traditional values. Support of faith, freedom of religion but not freedom from religious values. I suggest the south, southwest, midwest and southern California. Let the libs have the rest.
Within 20 years the USSA (United Socialist States of America) would be broke and in total anarchy, and we’d be right back fighting with them again as they’d want to take our resources.

You think Southern California should belong to a future Conservative United States? Southern California doesn't appear to be on our side.

Sadly, Moonbeam has a law degree. He also must know that he is only allowed to take this position (opposing a law) if he can find no reasonable argument to support it.
I wonder who he asked for reasonable arguments?
They infiltrated first.
It's starting to rub off on the rest of America.
