Currently the average lawmaker makes $169,300 a year, with leadership making slightly more. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) makes $217,400, while the minority and majority leaders in the House and Senate make $188,100. If you really want to get mad, look into how much they get for "Office Expenses", "Travel", etc.

Yes, but I just helped my grandparents try to sort out what the best plan for them is in regards to Medicare/Care Improvement Plus. They will now be receiving LESS each month than they were last year because their costs for these programs have skyrocketed this year.
