Rod Dreher (via Andrew McCarthy at the Corner) quotes a 1991 internal memo of the Holy Land Foundation that was uncovered by the Justice Department in a raid on a suspect’s home in Virginia, and presented in the current trial of HLF for ties to terrorism. Here is the key paragraph:
The process of settlement [of Islam in the United States] is a “Civilization-Jihadist” process with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that all their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” their miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all religions. 1. Destroy the ideology.

The constant dragging of feet and denial of reality only serves to take #1, above, off the list.
By refusing to own up to this fight as it must be fought, we only stumble our way ever closer to the day when genocide, either ours or theirs, becomes the only remaining option.
