To: Tax-chick

Sears had the red front load set at the end of the aisle, visible from the Mall entrance and the up escalator. They were shiny, cherry colored beacons...they just sparkled. I’m getting a little verklempt...even though I won’t be in the market again for years...they just caught my eye and I had to stop and look/open them. Pretty sad I know to be that worked up over major appliances...

I wanted a bright metallic silver set, but they were twice as much as the ones I bought. More features, as well as the color.

Years wow us Brits reckon to replace every 2 - 3 years if you 2 or more kids. Having said that my Hotpoint is still going and that is about 1992.
