MULTICULTURAL DISPLAYS 'NEUTERING' CHRISTMAS

Christmas is being compromised in one New York town in the name of inclusivity.

In the New York village of Armonk, officials have placed a menorah for the Jewish faith and the Islamic star and crescent for the Muslim faith alongside the town's Christmas tree. Bill Donahue of the Catholic League does not believe a Christmas tree correctly represents the Christian faith. Instead, he says the Christian religious symbol of this season should be a nativity scene.

Last year, a Muslim resident in Armonk asked officials to display Islamic symbols so Muslims could be included in Christmas celebrations. This year, the town complied.

Bill Donahue Catholic League"There's something perverse in the land. This multicultural rage has been implemented basically to neuter Christmas," Donahue notes. "If you can dilute its significance by celebrating everybody else's religious and ethnic and cultural traditions, then you can really water down Christmas -- and that's really what's going on here."

According to WorldNetDaily, the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha does not always fall in December, yet it has representation in holiday displays. Donahue believes something is terribly wrong with this picture.

"To think that we're taking a country which is grounded in the Judeo-Christian ethos and [now] we're standing religion on its head to accommodate radical secularists whose whole goal is to assault religion, and particularly Christianity, is really troubling," he concludes.

Be ye not unequally yoked together.

There is a reason.

Diversity is just another name for disunity. The destruction of all of the Christian influence is being accomplished by a fringe minority.

‘NEUTERING’ CHRISTMAS? And they're just now figuring out that this was whole plan right from the beginning?

That's tag line material.

I agree. Use it if you like. I’ve got one I want to hang on to until certain issues are settled.

They don’t celebrate Ramadan. That would be like saying we celebrate Lent. They celebrate Eid ul-Fitr, the end of Ramadan. It’s in September or October depending on the year.

I don’t care if they want to set up a giant moon or whatever for the celebration of Eid, but do it during Eid. Christmas is Christmas and as Dennis Miller said yesterday, if ya want to, put something small in a back hallway.

Stop pissing on our parade.

That IS the MO of ‘Diversity’. . .it is a Leftist wedge that guarantees; that ‘divided we fall’; just where they want us to.

In my opinion, municipal or government displays should be limited to Christmas and Chanukah, those of the two mainstream American religions. All fringe religions, like Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, etc. should be excluded. Of course, on private property anyone can have any kind of religious display they want.
