This guy is a moron, he will drive business out of New York. $20K per vehicle, no wonder people cannot afford new cars.

I can’t remember where I heard it but it would boost the price of a new vehicle past $20K. I know some are past that already but I’m talking more of the basic vehicles.

This gives me hope. Someday I too can be a Governor. This proves that anyone can do it no matter how stupid you are.

Good point, but read the article!

This only involves state-owned vehicles. It may actually be part of a COST-SAVING measure, too -- if they are retrofitting older trucks instead of buying new ones. New trucks already have the low-sulfur diesel engines described here.

new regulations would apply only to state-owned trucks or trucks used for state contract work.

Nothing like raising the price of doing business with the state. You s'pose that extra cost will show up in the bidding process somewhere? Like any other expense. I bet it will.
