This is the RINO scumbag who was rumored to be the threatened primary challenger to Sen. Peter Fitzgerald (if he did not retire voluntarily). Peter Fitzgerald did step aside, paving the way for O.

They may be Republicans, but who are the conservatives?

LaHood is retiring form Congress. 27 year old Republican Aaron Schock won the seat in November. He will be the youngest member of Congress.

Well, that brings LaHood’s integrity and honesty into question, fairly or unfairly.

Am I wrong, or does it seem like a disproportionate number of folks from Illinois? With the confirmed corruption in the Chicago and Illinois machine, that causes me pause.

Just call him “token.”

Or a well-paid hostage?

Obama wanted an Arab-American for the cabinet, and Helen Thomas was too old and Ralph Nader too cranky, so he settled for Ray LaHood.

I have no use for any Republican who willingly assists this little marxist.

Why not? The first Jimmy Carter brought in all his Georgia mafia buddies, then the second Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, brought in his Arkansas mafia. Why shouldn’t the black Jimmy Carter III bring in the Illinois mafia?

This is a weird one.

He’s pretty conservative across the board. He’s a decent guy, overall.

Did Bush appoint a lot of Texans? I don’t recall all that many.

Ray LaHood was my Congressman. A completely straight arrow from Peoria. He was in Washington for a long time, disconnected from both Chicago and Springfield politics.

He was more interested in representing his district than ideology, often to my chagrin. But, I have no doubt he’s clean.

Hmmm is right. Based on his election results, BO has a mandate. So why a Republican? Does LaHood have something on him?
