Pro-life pastor Rick Warren will give the invocation at President-Elect Barack Obamas inauguration. It makes a whole lot of sense. Even though Warren and Obama disagree on the life issue, they do see eye to eye on many social justice issues. This move is also classic Obama because it is a signal to religious conservatives that hes willing to bring in both sides to the faith discussion in this country. Obama has never shied away from that.
The benediction will be led by Reverend Dr. Joseph E. Lowery. The Civil Rights leader seems to be the perfect pick on such an historic day in this nations history. Watch Reverend Lowery preach with Barack Obama watching here.

0bama supports outright INFANTICIDE.
He should be shunned by anyone that does not also support INFANTICIDE.
Must be a typo in the article, I didn’t see Rev. Wright listed anywhere.
Rick Warren should recuse himself from this ministerial assignment. Obama is a pro-abort extremist. That is hardly a position worth a blessing from a Christian pastor.
Warren is not Billy Graham it seems.......
It doesn’t surprise me at all.
Methinks Mr. Warren’s pride is getting the better of him.
Giving the invocation at a presidential inauguration IS a big deal, but I’m sure that standing before Jesus on Judgement Day will make it seem less than trivial.
Amen.
I ws going to post something vile, but you came right to the heart of the issue. Thanks.
I would hope he takes some heavy heat for this........
The loud echo of the ceremony’s benedictions will be Jeremiah Wright’s 20 years of maledictions against America.
I’m not sure how O brings both sides to the discussion if one side (pro-life) NEVER says anything.
Jesus ate with publicans and sinners. I guess he should have recused himself, too.
Rick Warren is one of those new age, book author, get rich thanks to Jesus like Joel Osteen - TV pastors. I thought Warren was decent but he is a phony. Better than the Catholic bishops who support ACRON and La Raza or Pastor Wright but not much.
I think Pastor Manning has more credibility. Obama has been awful for black people in chicago.
I would rather a pro-life pastor give the invocation than a lefty proabort. Perhaps God will grant our prayers and Obama will be converted from his pro-infanticide positions. Afterall, we are commanded to pray for those in authority... this was spoken by Paul ... when the authority was Nero.
Mr. Warren got his div degree at Sears.
He doesn’t impress me.
Yeah, right. "I'll let you talk, but I won't listen, because I've already made up my mind that killing babies is, in fact, a good thing."
Poem
My b*** better have my money
Through rain, sleet, or snow
My whore better have my money
Not half, not some, but all my cash
‘Cause if she don’t,
I’m gonna put my foot dead in her ass.
Pop star preachers love fame and the company of other pop stars more than they love Christ. Avoid them and their churches.
