I'm done with John McCain
The Daily Kenoshan, Kenosha, Wis. ^ | 2008-12-17 | Lisa Loring

Posted on 12/16/2008 10:58:21 PM PST by rabscuttle385

I normally don't stay up late enough to watch Late Night with David Letterman, but I happened to catch a little of it Thursday night, when Sen. John McCain was on. David Letterman make a rude joke about Gov. Sarah Palin, and John McCain laughed at it. That is when I realized I am done with John McCain.

. . . . .

If I were Rod Blago, I'd use some nice four-letter words to describe how I feel about Sen. McCain, but I'm not, so I won't.

. . . . .

I'm glad Sen. McCain didn't win the election. This way, I don't have to defend him anymore. If he were president, and he screwed up, or did something that was moderate, Republicans would have gotten the blame.

I'm washing my hands of Sen. McCain.

I'm tired of defending RINOs.

I'm not doing it anymore, and I know many in the Republican party are tired of it, too.

I don’t think McCain age was the main detriment but it was a detriment. It would be foolish not to recognize this in the American Idol Age.

McCain’s age was often cited by people as a detriment to why they didn’t vote for him. He came out during the debates looking pale, old, next to Obama’s dark young thin striking looks - and people were energized by Obama’s appearance, just like they were with Kennedy decades ago when you paired him against older Nixon on tv.

Reagan was a special case because even though he was old he didn’t look old, and he exercized and looked fit. McCain with his old war injuries hobbled around and looked stiff and awkward.

I call them "Republicrats"... McCain is a putz. His wife is hot, his vice President selection was great... but McCain is an a##hole.

I voted for him out of fear of what Obama will do.

Obama ain't gonna do sh#t. This country is going to be on fire with terrorist threats, enemies within our hemisphere, financial problems of tsunami proportions and he's going to be running around from side to side going,"Uh-hmm-er-uh (insert liberal cliche) and we will have change in 6 or 7 more years".

I'm not going to vote for a RINO again, ever. It's over, could care less what the "lesser of two evils" choice is.

you just got to wonder what's in his FBI file. McCain has been in DC so long there has got to be just a bucketful of info that he doesn't want to be made public.

It's just to convenient for him to go "off the reservation" and then yap like a conservative. He's a frickin clown. I could care less if he was shot down and DID HIS DUTY.

He was supposed to not come home early. He was supposed to resist. He was supposed to not get shot down.

Every man that was shot down during the Vietnam war isn't qualified to be the top executive of the USA. It beats an affirmative action community organizer.

McCain may not have won the election but the one he really lost to is Palin!

I hope Sarah campaigns for his opponent for that seat.

Or so he said. And then McCain took time out of his campaign to rush back to DC and help pass the 700B bailout bill that was so pork/ear-mark filled, it put the lie to McCain’s campaign promises to end ear marks.

I think he still hated the earmarks. The economists in Washington, all of them as far as I know, told all the politicians that the $700 billion bailout was critical and had to be done now!. I believe McCain is, as he has said, ignorant of economics and just went along with the majority of the "smart people" on this.

But, as you point out, the result is the same: a pork-laden goody package.

He played his part.

As did the Trojan Horse, Judas Iscariot, and Bendict Arnold.

Oh, please tell me what’s inaccurate about it? Seems to me, most of the people on this site voted for McCain only to keep 0 from becoming POTUS and only because of Sarah. Now that he doesn’t need her, he’s back to kissing the feet of the s-bag libs and the MSM. Don’t tell me you are a supporter of McCain outside of the reason most of us voted for him?

You still drinkin' that kool-aid Cedric????

Just curious...were you on McCain's staff? Inquiring minds wanna know, since you are so adamant that they were completely loyal to Governor Palin and could not possibly have badmouthed her behind her back to the press.

Robert M. 'Mike' Duncan, RNC Chairman, are you listening?

McLaim sucked as a candidate, and would have lost by GIGANTIC margin had it not been for a true conservative as his VP pick.

Your organization FAILED us in 2008. Now we will have pay the price for the next 4 years.

The GOP needs to get its act together now, make peace between the social conservatives and the neocons, and field a candidate that can WIN next time.

"The old fart owes Gov. Palin - big time - for not getting thoroughly embarrased on Election Day."

Excactly! Obama would have gotten 68% or more of the vote had it not been for Sarah Palin on McCain's ticket. McCain sould be kissing Sarah's butt daily!

How about if you set him on fire first? Do you have experience with this stuff?

Don’t waste your breath, beat a dead horse, throw good money after bad, cry in the wind etc etc etc.

Nobody in the GOP is listening. They ignored Rush, Laura, Beck et al. They are deaf to conservatism.

Ronal Reagan showed the way. Proved it worked. Sold it the masses and they bought it. The true powers that be didn’t like it so they gave us the Bushes, McQueeg and all the RINOs.

It’s time for drastic measures. Secession.

Yes, I want to know, especially since you had the gall to run a little hit list of anyone who opposed the McCainiac "illegal alien" invasion of FR. Actually, it really got out of hand when you and ncalburt started targeting established Freepers, including some from the Class of '98.

Yeah..... Good Luck with that...

Secession = Balkanization in America. Brilliant.

Last time it was tried it worked oh so well

So you form your own little conservative enclave. Who's gonna keep it "conservatively pure" in the future? If the future citizens of your enclave have a problem with the other citizens, your enclave will fracture further - and why not, it was the example you gave.

Reagan was a great American. Let me emphasize the word AMERICAN. It is the GOP's JOB to find the next Reagan, and my point is that they are not doing their job.
