Has anyone done any investigation on Orland S. and Thelma S. (Young) to see what kind of associations they may have had?
The information about those two is sketchy at best, it seems there has been a lot of scrubbing going on! The present owner of the house was quoted in a Nov.9/08 article published in “The Honolulu Advertiser” that she had received phone calls asking if she knew that her home had been the first home of Jr and she said, “I didn’t know” She didn’t know because neither the Dunhams nor Obama ever lived there. It would have been a simple matter for Nani Smethurst to look through the history of the home in the paperwork she has and yet she didn’t know the home was related to Jr? Now how fishy does that sound?

Orlando was a professor at the University of Hawaii, according to his obit in the same paper that printed Barry's birth announcement. also here. According to the obits, Thelma was his "companion", although they had kids, grandkids and one great grand kid together).
I also found a 2003 photo of him in a group touring "Battleship row". Tall wild haired fellow, but definitely a Haole.
Thelma died June 28th of this year She was 91, as was Orlando when he died a year or so earlier.
