US President George W. Bush said in an interview Tuesday he was forced to sacrifice free market principles to save the economy from "collapse."
"I've abandoned free-market principles to save the free-market system," Bush told CNN television, saying he had made the decision "to make sure the economy doesn't collapse."

WRT the economy, this administration should have zero credibility with any right-minded person. They've been a disgrace from the start.
Normal territory appears to be Socialism, at best.
“Ive abandoned free-market principles...”
just in time to hand the office keys over to the foreign marxist.

“Oh no..., I hope that doesnt mean that Sharia law is next...”
If it is I hope you’re one of the first to ge hit!
Well..., I meant at least to where we were a couple or so years ago, before we started getting into trouble, anyway...
It may not be perfect (back then) the way many may have wanted it, but it’s where we were.
You said — “If it is I hope youre one of the first to ge hit!”
Did you see Bush dodge the shoes? I’ve been practicing that move...
I remember trying to convince a prom date to abandon her principles to save her chastity. She didn't buy it.
I'm not either.
Just curious, did you vote for John McCain?
Oh well..., sorry to hear that, but I also think the world is “going to hell in a handbasket” — but on other grounds. I believe that Jesus Christ is soon to come for the church and then the 7 years Tribulation begins and then the King (”Jesus”) returns to set up the “worldwide rule” over all the nations from His Kingdom in Israel.
So..., I don’t really know if we have enough time to recover from a Great Depression after all...
How considerate of him to spare Obama the political consequences.
I cannot believe this guy. How many more times between now and 1/20/09 can he bare his throat for the democrats?
Exactly, it is reprehensible to prop up these failed institutions. At a time like this, those who have remained honest, and retained competent management, should have bought out those failed institutions. The Government is insistent that these fools be given tax dollars (more likely, freshly printed funny money) to keep playing. That is no formula for economic success.
All praise to the Democrats for delivering it, then. I used to think, naively, that voting Republican would prevent this. Now, I'll be put out of my misery. It's all over. {:-(
I see that she was more pure in her principles than you were... LOL...
On the other hand, she probably knew who would end up with an extra mouth to feed... (enlightened self-interest, perhaps.. :-) ... )
It's not a wish, it's a cure for your mythological buddy in the ER
Of course, that is after he and congress abandoned free-market principles to bring the economy to its knees.
You said — “It was. We lost.”
Actually we lost because we didn’t keep up “Rolling Thunder” until the North cried uncle. They said that they were just days away from surrendering... We missed their surrender by just days...
If he comes in the next five minutes or five years... I am ready and I will rejoice in him... for I love him more than I love myself. Worldly problems will no longer have meaning.
Amen Brother.

It truly is crystal clear.

I guess that puts me in the company of Bush and Cheney, then. Oh well...
