HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Pedophile and convicted murder Ottis Toole abducted and killed Adam Walsh 27 years ago, Hollywood police Chief Chadwick Wagner announced Tuesday.
Authorities announced that they've finally solved the 1981 killing of the boy whose father later gained fame as the host of "America's Most Wanted."
Wagner said Tuesday that after a fresh review, he is ending the abduction and murder case of Adam Walsh.

I’m going to assume that the evidence and circumstances made this situation a dead end that would not go anywhere past Toole, and they came to this conclusion recently.

Wow. Very sad. I am glad he will have peace regarding who. So heartbreaking.
I was disappointed that there’s no new evidence. Deathbed confessions aren’t the most reliable source of information.
Also, none of Ottis Toole’s other victims have been children. I’m not so certain that it’s him.

Henry Lee Lucas’s death sentence was commuted to life in prison in 1998 by then-Governor George W. Bush.

Because of his program, the perp was discovered in a prison in Florida after bragging to a fellow inmate who turned him in after having watched the case on TV.
When I first heard the story, I assumed that they had uncovered new evidence, but no — it was just a new prosecutor?
You attorneys out there — is guilt automatically assigned to Toole, or is guilt different from closing the case?
If Toole were still alive, would he have to be prosecuted to be found guilty?
How many little children did Saul abduct, rape and kill before his conversion.
I know it is not very Christian, but as a human being I consider SOME crimes to be unforgiveable.
