Per Fox News a minute ago... 30 states have emptied their unemployment insurance funds by spending it on liberal social programs.
This seems huge; as many more people lose their jobs, there is no money to pay them the unemployment insurance they and their employers paid into the system every week. The states obviously will demand a bailout from Congress -- we're talking hundreds of billions of dollars here in total -- with the disastrous results that entails.
Welcome to Obama's America.

I cannot find on the Fox site news regarding unemployment.
No diversion at all. Rather, the State borrowed against the fund, issuing IOUs to be placed into the fund rather than hard dollars.
Kind of like Social Security! If it’s good enough for the FedGov, it’s good enough for the StateGov!
The left has deliberately and knowingly bankrupted the nation in order to take it over with the Federal govt. And of course the sheeple will just turn over and go back to sleeep. Exactly what the Franks and Dodds are counting on.
Well, they can always tax Coca-Cola in New York and triple the toll road fees in Massachusetts...
I wouldn’t start crowing yet. This is far from being over.
Here in Maryland they speak of a 600 million dollar shortfall, and promise state workers furlough’s that will cost them several days work. In the meantime they are buying 900 million dollars worth of property for parks.
Maybe the states will find those unemployment insurance funds a couple lines down from the accounts where gasoline and car fee and other taxes were collected to fund highway and state infrstructure maintenance and improvement
