Patrick Fitzgerald seems to indicate that Obama’s team approached Blaogjevich!
I noticed this as I was reading the transcript of Fitzgerald's comments at the press conference. Below is a quote from that event that I've not heard mentioned anywhere. After Fitzgerald details the events around the Valerie Jarrett portion of the pay-for-play scheming with the Obama people, he then goes on to say this about Jesse Jackson Jr. approaching Blagojevich with another deal:
—- “What I should also talk about is that, in another event, SOMEBODY ELSE APPROACHED THE GOVERNOR [emphasis mine]. And the governor’s understanding of this approach was that in exchange for an appointment, to the Senate seat, he would receive campaign contributions. And the government’s view of what was told, to him, through intermediaries was that, quote, “We were approached pay-to-play that, you know, he raised me 500 grand. Then the other guy would raise a million if I made him senator,” close quote.” —
SOMEBODY ELSE APPROACHED THE GOVERNOR??
Unless there were yet another set of people that were trying to make deals, it sounds like the Obama people CAME TO BLAGOJEVICH with this plan as did Jesse Jackson Jr.

JJJ was only Candidate 5. “Somebody else” could have been any of the previous 4, no? How does this prove it was Obama?

The person that approached Blago "pay to play" and was offering contributions was doing it on behalf of "Senate Candidate 5" which is Jesse Jackson, Jr.
The person was probably a JJJ supporter, not directly employed by or tied to JJJ. Nobody near Obama wanted Senate Candidate 5 to get the appointment and they wouldn't have paid to get that candidate in.
There's NO question about it....

Obama will claim ignorance of what his people do just like he did all through the election. Somebody's sacrifical head will roll, then Obammy will again ascend in a cloud of glory.
That is why there was such a rush to shut down the investigation; Obama was about to be exposed for what he is; just another Chicago hack. No wonder Blagojevich was cussing about Obama. Would you be that angry if someone you had no reason to beleive was corrupt turned you down? No you only get mad like that when you are double-crossed.
Call Blago and tell him to stay and fight.
