They cannot initiate the Obamstitution without cancelling the resistance clauses of the Constitution.
The urgency is securing ultimate power over the people with a monarchy of elitists.
Why? Because they’re going to push for Maoist/Mussolini/NAZI/USSR/Castro style fascism. They’re going to kill the dissenters (that being us) en masse, as fascists always do, and they need us disarmed to facilitate the process. That’s why the sudden urgency. History people, history.

You basically answered your own question. They want to neutralize the Second Amendment for the EXACT REASON it was included in the Bill of Rights. The right to armed protection of the citizens from a corrupt-oppressive government.
That is all they are worried about. They KNOW that criminals do not obey laws (they look in the mirror). They know their only defense is to disarm the LAW ABIDING citizen is necessary for their radical socialist agenda.
Review the rise of Hitler in Germany. See what he did to neutralize the threat of Germany’s people being armed -— and look at the huge mistake that countries he overran, made BEFORE he just walked in a took over their lives.....

Quite simply once Obama takes away your guns you will be completely defenseless from his ‘civilian army’. Think of Hitler vs those who he put in concentration and death camps and I think you’ll get the idea.
